Yoshi the Drunkard is a legendary force affinity from the shadowkin faction in Raid Shadow Legends. He is a great addition to teams in the early to mid gameplay of Raid. Yoshi the Drunkard Build Guide
Yoshi was the first Shadowkin champion to be offered for fusion. He has an interesting skill kit with A3 being the most highly prized one as it offers access to AOE Increase Accuracy and ATK UP buffs. As such, if this is the only function you are using him for you do not need to book his other skills. If you are aiming to take the full advantage of his skillset you may want to book his other skills for extra chance to apply Crow Control (CC) skills like the stun and Decrease Accuracy.
In the end game setting the areas that may require increased Accuracy buffs are Platinum Arena and Doom Tower where enemies may have huge resistance. This naturally impacts the choice of masteries.
This guide will showcase Brakus various unkillable Clan Boss comps (Brakus does not fit well in non-unkillable teams as he has very low base Defense), in Arena Defense and Faction Wars.
Masteries
Both Rapid Response and Arcane Celerity are strong and provide an increase of his Turn Meter (TM) since he provides both buffs and debuffs. As an arena CC champ, you would like to use Evil Eye to decrease the TM of the enemies and finally you would want to use Eagle Eye as the T6 mastery to increase his accuracy even further to face resist teams in the arena.
You can take the defense tree for more survivability as his kit isn’t really meant for damage. Like most arena champions you should choose retribution to get a chance to remove debuffs if the enemy goes first. You can finish with both counterattack masteries as his a1 can apply stun as this can benefit you. This set of masteries works perfectly for CC in PVE content like Doom Tower.
Gear & Stats Build
The key to Yoshi’s kit for arena is Accuracy and Speed. In this sense, perception/accuracy sets are strong options for him. However, the best in slot set If you are aiming for platinum arena would be either Immunity gear or Untouchable with Perception. This allows Yoshi to work him against Tormin and Hegemon teams. For PVE content like dungeons 20 around 220 Accuracy is sufficient. In hard Doom Tower 360 is preferred for the highest stages. The requirements fo Platinum Arena Accuracy for Yoshi are high and around 400-500 should be sufficient.
In terms of speed Yoshi needs to be tuned for Arena so his speed is sufficient to go after the main TM booster, e.g. Arbiter or Siphi without enemies cutting into the turn order. Using an arena calculator may be a good idea to make the correct calculations that depend on your team. For PVE 200+ speed is recommended.

For the chest, you have a choice you can either go accuracy chest if you want to use him in high arena (G4, plat) or you can go with HP% for Doom Tower (if you’ve reached the 400 acc for the hardest stages). You can either go crit rate or HP gloves depending on your need for survivability. With 270+ speed, he should be able to cut in even when the ennemy Arbiter places her buff, being able to apply True fear on the Enemy. If you run Yoshi with a reviver in Arena and DT you can use Crit Rate gloves for extra damage.
Arena Team & Strategy
Yoshi shines the most when the enemy team has high resistance, around 700-800 in platinum. Teams like this are usually stall team that don’t have high speed and instead try to waste as much time as possible for the attackers, especially at the Arena reset. They usually contain Hegemons that will always go first, champions with huge shields like Krisk, Tormins to freeze speed teams and other nasty traps.
The featured team is in Immunity sets because it prevents Tormin passive and Hegemon CC. Yoshi works even better with Lyssandra or Kymar since he also places the Increase Atk buff if you don’t use Arbiter or Duchess.
- Duchess is used here as a shield champion against nuke Hegemons but any champ with a high base HP can work with bulwark mastery.
- Yoshi provides the Accuracy buff
- Madame Serris strips the buffs and takes advantage of the Yoshi utility. Note that Serris is guaranteed to use A3 on auto if your teams has the Block debuffs on them
