Raid Shadow Legends: Yannica Champion Guide

Yannica is a legendary champion from the high elves faction in Raid Shadow Legends. She is a strong champion that is more than capable of competing in most areas of Raid. However, she excels in offensive teams for the arena, performing best against opponents with known shield buffs like a Krisk team. As if built correctly, she has the capability to remove those buffs and land high-hitting damage on her enemies. Furthermore, Yannica also has powerful AOE abilities and an A1 leech, which makes her viable in almost any dungeon.

Yannica End Game Arena Guide

Yannica is one of the best arena champions for a variety of reasons and many players will soon obtain her as her fragments are available for purchase from the clan shop.

Her damage multipliers are extremely high, and she has a good built-in protection for herself from Veil. Yannica can destroy shielded champions with low resistance in Arena with ease and has place in the current meta, even if she is not one of the most popular champions.

Masteries

Yannica is an out and out nuker and can sustain this across many turns so her masteries reflect this focus. Helmsmasher is the prime damage mastery for Arena once the Critical Damage surpasses 230%+. Retribution is useful as her A1 does decent damage (3.8x multiplier). Singled out makes sense, because Yannica will take 2 turns at start using her A2 and then A3, often the A2 reducing someone to low HP as it has a high damage multiplier.

Gear & Stats Build

Yannica is not hard to gear if you don’t try to build for Accuracy. Don’t try to make her a hybrid to exploit the extra shield damage, it is not necessary. She requires high damage and that is enough.

The optimal way to build Yannica to match the enemy, especially in Platinum Arena. Typically you need her to make a critical hit with her A2 to get an extra turn and do most damage, so don’t build her too fast or enemy reaction accessories will activate.

Around 217 speed is the absolute maximum if you don’t have speed boosters (e.g., Kymar > Yannica). If you have any TM boosters like Seeker or Arbiter, 180-190 speed is advised instead. The usual golden standard gear is Savage for normal nukers and immunity for anti-hegemon nuker, with cruel off-set pieces. Aim for at least 5.5k attack ideally 6-7k with 230-260 critical damage if you are looking to get into Platinum and 100% critical rate.

Recommended Main Stats

Weapon/Helm/Shield: crit damage, crit, attack (when available)

  • Glove: Crit Damage with crit, and attack sub stats
  • Chest: Attack% with crit damage and crit substats
  • Boots: Speed or Attack % with crit damage and crit substats
  • Ring: Attack
  • Amulet: Crit Damage with acc sub-stats
  • Banner: Attack with speed and attack% sub-stats

Using Yannica in the Arena

Yannica has the potential to do huge damage (A2 100-160k single + A3 50-90k AOE in Plat arena) but her damage setup requires critical strike on A2. Suitable against certain teams: Defensive spirit and force/void champions, such as: Duchess, Ursuga, Nekhret, Vogoth, Rector, Siphi, Candra, etc. The key to using Yannica are as follows:

  1. Control] You must ensure they take a turn so reaction effects wear off. Therefore control via Kymar sleep, Maulie/Krisk provoke, stun etc. must be in place.
  2. [Attack Up] You need attack up here, by Arbiter or Brogni or Duchess or Yoshi. Attack up champion better have lasting gifts mastery as Yannic buffs wear off quickly due to her extra turn.
  3. [Defence Down or Block Buffs] You can choose a variety of champions here. Madame, Gurp, Uugo, or even Ghostborn.
  4. [Vicious Damager] When Yannica successfully crits (pick someone who is on turn 2 and not magic affinity), she can unleash her A3 and also protects herself with veil, which also empowers her A1.

Possible Yannica teams

  • Against Tormin: Kymar (sleep) > Duchess or Brogni (attack up and block debuffs and shield) > Madame (against high resist block debuff heavy teams) or Gurp (against SP) > Yannica (A2 then A3)
  • Arbiter (attack up and boost TM) > Maulie or Krisk (provoke) > Madame (against high resist block debuff heavy teams) or Gurp (against SP) > Yannica (A2 then A3)

Yannica Late Game Dungeon Runs

Dragon 25

Apart from Arena, Yannica can be used as your Dungeon waves Nuker. She can’t be used for Dragon 20 since she is negative affinity, but she is the perfect affinity for Dragon 25. Yannica’s main role here is DPS. She does a combination of AOE damage to clear the wave and single target against the Dragon.

In optimal teams we have Ma’shalled providing his Buffs, CC against the waves, Leech so the team can heal, and as a secondary DPS. Arbiter to provide TM boost, Inc Atk buff, heals, and revive in case anyone dies. Venus for AOE Decrease Defense, Weaken and Poisons against the Boss. Finally, Farahkin as another supporting DPS champion. He combos well with Yannica and Ma’shalled during his ally attack ability since their A1s are AOE abilities.

Fire Knight 20

In Fire Knight 20, Yannica has the same role as a DPS Nuker. Paired with an Increase Attack and AOE Decrease Defense, she can clear the waves easily. Yannica can also actually help take down the shield charges efficiently. Her extra turn ability into her A1 combo takes away 3 stacks of shield on the Fire Knight.

In optimal teams we have Yannica providing the DPS to clear the waves. Stag Knight for AOE Decrease Defense, Decrease Attack, and Decrease Speed. Gorgorab Increase Attack, TM Boost, healing, and revives. Finally, 2 Coldhearts as the must include in all FK 20 teams with their multi-hit attacks to take down the shield and Heartseeker to deplete the TM and deal massive damage to the Fire Knight.

Fire Knight 25

Fire Knight 25 will be tougher as the mobs and boss here have much higher HP. This floor boss also has more shield charges, 12 in total compared to FK 20. Yannica still performs her role as a DPS Nuker on the waves, but she cannot do it alone if you want fast runs. We need the help of secondary DPS to speed up the run. Yannica can also actually help take down the shield charges. Her extra turn ability into her A1 combo takes away 3 stacks of shield on the Fire Knight.

We now have to include Alure in the team as Coldhearts are no longer as effective in Stage 21+ dungeons. Alure will control the Fire Knight by constantly decreasing his TM. Stag Knight still provides AOE Decrease Defense, Decrease Attack and Decrease Speed which is crucial against the Fire Knight now that TM reduction effects are limited. Arbiter to provide TM boost, Inc Atk buff, heals, and revive in case anyone dies. Ninja as the secondary DPS and CC against the wave with his AOE freeze.

Ice Golem 20

In Ice Golem 20, Yannica has the same role as a DPS Nuker. Paired with an Increase Attack and AOE Decrease Defense, she can clear the waves easily. The important thing to note for Ice Golem is that there is a problem with Yannica in that she does too much damage with her AOEs if built right. She will constantly trigger the Ice Golem Frigid Vengeance Slam so you need to build a team with supports that can heal, revive and with a Decrease Attack as you will constantly be taking hits.

In optimal teams:

  • Yannica provides the DPS as described above.
  • Stag Knight provide AOE Decrease Defense, Decrease Attack and Decrease Speed.
  • Gorgorab and Scyl supports with Increase Attack, TM Boost, healing, and revive if things go south.
  • Ninja as a secondary DPS.

Ice Golem 24

We can only use Yannica on Ice Golem 24 since she is negative affinity on stage 25. Stage 24 will be much tougher as the mobs and boss here have much higher HP and the Ice Golem deals a lot more damage. Yannica still performs her role as a DPS Nuker but the problem of Yannica doing too much damage and constantly triggering the Ice Golem Frigid Vengeance Slam become more problematic as each slam can almost always take out your DPS champions even with a Dec Atk Debuff on. We need a lot more survivability in the team to survive the hard-hitting mobs and boss.

In optimal teams yannica as the same DPS role with Stag Knight providing AOE Decrease Defense, Decrease Attack and Decrease Speed. Moreover, we now bring Brogni for his Shields, Heals, and Inc Attack buff and Melga for the Shield, Heals, and Revives. While ninja continues as a secondary DPS and CC with AOE Freeze.
