Raid Shadow Legends: Wythir the Crowned Champion Guide

Wythir the Crowned is a legendary force affinity champion from the demonspawn factions in Raid Shadow Legends. She is a fantastic champion to use in a stun set, with the capability to also provide leech with high accuracy. Wythir will also frequently place continuous heals randomly on her A1 and on her passive at the start of a turn. Furthermore, she will provide an increase defence buff on her A2, while also increasing the duration of continous heal buffs and activating all continuous heal buffs. Wythir is super useful at a range of late to end game content. Including areas such as Clan Boss, Arena and various stage 20 dungeon runs.

Wythir the Crowned Late Game Clan Boss Guide

Wythir is a great support champion. Thanks to her skills, she is versatile and can help in any game content, be it PVP or PVE. Unfortunately using Wythir effectively both in the Arena and in PVE content is difficult due to different gear requirements and general availability of other metagame options. Therefore, in this guide, we will consider her exclusively for PVE. Her skills are great for Clan Boss so the build will be based around this main usecase.

Skills

She boasts an AOE attack on A1 and places a Leech debuff on enemies, as well as a Continuous Heal buff on a random ally. This will help the team healing without a lifesteal set and to keep HP topped up. Her A2 places an Increase Def buff to the team and activates Continuous Heal buffs on allies, increasing the survivability of the team. Her A3 is one of the best AOE heals in the game for 30% of Wythir HP with her large base HP that also removes all debuffs from the team.

Wythir’s passive skill applies a Continuous heal buff on an ally with the lowest HP. Her aura increases Ally Resist in all Battles by 50. Furthermore, Wythir needs books in A2 and A3 to work effectively, as they reduce skills cooldowns. Books in A1 will only increase damage, so don’t spend them there.

Masteries

For best results on CB Warmaster T6 mastery is the number one choice. Life Drinker or Single Out is up to you as well as some damage increasing masteries like Bring it Down. The second branch is of more interest and here is something to think about. In PvE Support branch looks better with a focus on increasing healing and Accuracy. If you are interested in her Leech debuff on A1 Master Hexer and Sniper masteries to extend the duration and increasing the chance to place Leech debuff look good too.

On CB we will use a strict speed tune, so no TM increasing masteries can be selected in order not to break the turn order.

Gear & Stats Build

Wythir has good healing and Leech debuff, so the choice of artifacts is not limited to a Lifesteal set. If you build a team around Leech you can abandon the Lifesteal sets in favor of increasing the stats. If you don’t rely on the Leech debuff then the Lifesteal set is still the best choice.

Sets and accessories that affect turn bar or skill cooldown are not allowed in this CB speed tune.

In this build, various sets were used to achieve high stats, which did not affect the champion’s survival in any way. We need to reach around 230 Accuracy and Speed tune for CB in the case of UNM 195, more than the champion who will receive the stun from the boss by 1. Then focus on Health and Defense with some Crit Rate but only in additional stats. The rest of the stats are not that important.

Recommended Main Stats:

  • Gloves – HP%/DEF%.
  • Chest – HP%/DEF%.
  • Boots – SPD.
  • Ring – DEF/HP/.
  • Amulet – DEF/HP.
  • Banner – ACC or DEF/HP.

If you have the Revenge accessories – you can use them in this particular CB composition.

UNM Clan Boss Team

Here is an example of a budget Counterattack team with the standard 1:1 speed tune. This team can 1/2-key NM (with 171-189 speed tune) and 3/4-key UNM Clan Boss (with 191-209 speed tune).

Wythir plays several important roles in this team:

  • She goes first to cleanse the boss Stun debuff.
  • She is placing Increase DEF buff to improve the team’s survivability.
  • Leech debuff for healing, however, due to the abundance of debuffs, it was not constantly on the boss, which must be taken into account if you have a similar team and this is important for you.

Team Build

  1. Frozen Banshee with 198 speed for Poisons.
  2. Geomancer with 198 speed for Weaken and HP burn debuffs.
  3. Tayrel with 196 speed for Decrease ATK and DEF debuffs.
  4. Wythir with 195 speed.
  5. Skullcrusher with 192 speed for Counterattack buff and he is the target of the CB A3.

It is important to note that due to the lack of an Increase Def buff, the Boss attacks Skullcrusher, while Wythir speed is higher than Skullcrusher in order to have time to remove the debuff before he take a turn. However, affinity CB can stun other champions based on affinity, in which case you should make this champions slower than Wythir.

All champions have Warmaster T6 masteries and Lifesteal set, as well as high Def and HP. With the exception of Wythir and Geomancer who do not have Lifesteal sets, but simply high stats.

Wythir the Crowned End Game Build

Wythir in late game can be useful in the arena, where she acts as a cleanser and a healer. Her force affinity helps because such champions as Prince Kymar for CC and buff strip as well as Trunda and other magic affinity chamions are still popular in Gold tier Arena including Tag Team. Platinum Arena is a whole different ballpark in terms of meta. A decent chance of weak hits make Wythir a fairly effective champion. Her many Continuous Heal buffs make defensive teams with her quite annoying. If you couple it all with a Polymorph blessing this can lead to a nasty defense indeed.

Skills

To use Wythir in the arena, we do not have to invest books in her, especially if the battle does not promise to be protracted. However, if you’re getting into long fights, the reduced cooldown will help a lot.

Masteries

We need to have high resistances on Wythir for maximum effectiveness, as champions that increase the cooldown of our skills such as Warlord and Yumeko still pose a serious threat. Therefore, masteries will help us with this goal. Defence branch with Unshakeable T6 is the best choice for this type of the build. Defiant, Improved Parry and other damage reduction masteries come in handy. For the second branch it is better to take the upport with a full selection of healing masteries.

Another possible option would be the Timely Intervention T6 from Support branch that will allow Wythir to take more turns and restore the team’s HP after allies have taken damage from enemy damage dealers. However, since most supports on your team will have a Stoneskin set, this strategy is not currently very effective.

Gear & Stats Build

The best Arena set for any support, especially for a cleanser is Stoneskin. You can use Immunity or Untouchable sets as an alternative, but that makes them vulnerable to direct damage. With such sets we should not worry about of CC sets including Taunt, Sleep and Stun that ignore Resistance.

We are primarily focusing on resistance, the speed must match our team, but Wythir going first is usually the play. HP is the next priority, since value of healing depends on it, and we ignore attacking stats.

Recommended Main Stats

  • Glove: HP%
  • Chest: Resistance
  • Boots: Speed
  • Ring: HP
  • Amulet: HP/DEF but good RES substats are more important
  • Banner: Resistance

Reaction Accessories are a great addition to any sets especially if you don’t have Stoneskin.

Arena Team with Wythir

The featured Wythir build in arena can work in a simple manner in a go-second team. This team is very tanky, survives the enemy attack without any problems, removes all debuffs and replenishes HP and then attacks back on the second turn. Since the Reaction Accessories on the opponent are no longer active and stoneskin may run out, this counterattack is more effective than that of the opponent.

Our potential targets are speed teams that deal their main damage on their first and second turns. At the same time, you need to attack defensive teams wisely, since not all of them are easily defeated or can be farmed fast enough.

Team Build

Here’s an example of a Defense team:

  1. Lilitu in Stoneskin set for revive and Veil, Block Debuff plus Increase ATK buffs.
  2. Candraphon in Swift Parry for dps.
  3. Wythir in Stoneskin set for cleanse.
  4. Kyoku in a Bolster set for increase team survival.

The main disadvantages of Wythir for Arena is the lack of a Block Debuff buff, which means that if the enemy placed debuffs after our cleanse, then nothing can be done about it.

Dungeon Runs

Dragon 20

Wythir’s main task in the dungeons is to ensure the survival of the team. Continuous Heals, Increase DEF buff and AOE A1 with the Leech debuff allows allies to stay alive even without Lifesteal sets. Wythir herself can also slap on the waves with Warmaster and Brimstone.

By default her A3 analyzes the amount of debuffs on the team and may not be activated when an ally only lacks HP, making it safer to force the use of this skill in the AI settings. Here is an example of a budget composition for Dragon 20:

  1. Tayrel for AOE Decrease Def.
  2. Tallia for dps.
  3. Wythir for Increase Def buff and healing.
  4. Frozen Banshee to quickly kill the Dragon with Poisons.
  5. Djamarsa for revive.

Ice Golem 20

The Ice Golem is the most unpredictable boss due to how hard it Counterattacks after reaching certain HP thresholds.

Here Wythir’s AOE attacks only get in the way. After all, when she attacks the minions, she attacks the boss himself, which can activate his passive. Therefore, the Decrease ATK debuff is very important in such a team. In general, she copes with her main task perfectly, and the Resistance aura can help avoid getting debuffed by enemies for key champions. Here is an example composition for Ice Golem 20:

  1. Stag Knight for AOE Decrease DEF and ATK debuffs.
  2. Tallia for dps.
  3. Wythir for Increase DEF buff, cleanse and healing.
  4. Frozen Banshee to quickly kill the Golem with Poisons.
  5. Djamarsa for revive.

Fire Knight 20

In the Fire Knight’s Castle Wythir is not as good as she might seem at a glance. Although she keeps the HP of the teams high, 1 hit on A1 makes it harder to open the boss’s shield and she doesn’t have the most sought after debuffs that play an important role here. That’s why it’s important to pair her with some champions that have multi-hit abilities.

Here is an example composition for Fire Knight 20:

  1. Apothecary for SPD buff and healing plus multi-hit.
  2. Stag Knight for AOE Decrease DEF, ATK and SPD debuff.
  3. Tallia for dps plus multi-hit.
  4. Wythir for Increase DEF buff and healing.
  5. Armiger to Decrease the turn meter and quickly kill the Boss with MAX HP skill.
