Raid Shadow Legends: Warpriest Champion Guide

Warpriest is a rare spirit affinity champion in Raid Shadow Legends, she is a member of the Sacred Order faction. She is a relatively weak champion overall and one of the first that you will get when playing raid. She can be used effectively in the early game of Raid Shadow Legends. But, you won’t want to invest too heavily in her progression, as during mid to late game (beyond level 50) she becomes an unviable option for most content. Warpriest does however have a good heal which improves when you ascend to stage 3 of ascension, she also has a decent increase atk buff for your team.

Warpriest Early Game Guide

Warpriest is one of the first Champion you gain (excluding Sniper). She can help you when you are brand new into the account, but she has a lot of flaws in her abilities that means she gets replaced very fast. For this reason, it’s recommended to not invest too much in her as you’ll not be using her for very long. Do not spend books on her or rank her up beyond rank 4. You can use her as food for your starter champion without remorse.

Abilities

Her first ability (A1) has a small chance to freeze someone, which is okay but quite unreliable. Her third skill (A3) gives the small version of the Increase Attack buff (the big version is 50%). The problem with this is the skill doesn’t do anything else, and in this game, buffs scale off all your stats. Early on you don’t have a lot of attack, so the buff doesn’t give you much.

The reason you would want to use Warpriest is as a healer with her second ability (A2). Healing in this game isn’t very desirable on its own however, since there are plenty of ways to get healing, it does not have a lot of value. However, going through the Campaign you probably won’t have access to these, so she is useful as a champ to help you get through the campaign and get 3 stars on the stages.

Once you have the starter lifesteal you stop having any need for Warpriest whatsoever as the starter can solo most of the campaign.

Gear & Stats Build

You can put some gear on Warpriest early on, its recommended you use any gear you have that has Speed. Since she is a healer, we want her to be going as fast as possible to make sure she can heal often. Besides that, do not worry too much about her gear as she will get replaced quickly anyway. You can put her some Life set gear if you want, to make her a bit tankier if she is dying.

Once you get past the stage where your champs are getting into Lifesteal, or you get another healer like Apothecary, you can feel free to take the gear off Warpriest and use her as a way to rank up another champion, most likely your starter champion (Kael, Galek, Athel or Elhain).

The image below is a set of boots. For boots, you will be looking for “Speed” to be in the same place as the image. The stat that is at the top of the item is called a main stat, and the ones underneath that are in smaller text are substats (the 2 defense and crit rate). Boots are the only item that can have Speed as a main stat.

When you are looking for gear for Warpriest, you want to try to use any gear that has “Speed” as a substat or if you are lucky enough to have them, Boots with main stat Speed, like in the image below. If you have boots with main stat speed, upgrade them to level 8 or 12 if you have the silver, they will help you a lot.
