Maulie Tankard is a legendary spirit affinity champion from the dwarves faction in Raid Shadow Legends. If she is built with strong accuracy stats then she can be an excellent control champion, capable of placing 2 turn provokes on all enemy opponents. Furthermore, she is able to revive your fallen team mates and place a block damage on them. Maulie is popular and strong in a number of different areas, most notably, faction wars, arena and doom tower. In this guide we will cover a general late game build, with information on mastery, gear and stat selection. Followed by an in-depth overview of how best to use Maulie in Faction Wars.

Maulie Skills Overview
A1: Roast
Attacks 1 enemy. Damage increases by 50% if the target is under a [HP Burn] debuff.

A2: Bar Brawl

Maulie Tankard Late Game Build Guide
Maulie Tankard is a spirit affinity Dwarf Legendary and the first dwarf fusion event in late 2019. She is a champion that is renowned for enabling 3 stars in Faction Wars, usefulness in Arena and the Doom Tower.
Maulie Tankard can be built in a few different ways depending on the main area she will be used in revolving around her passive with Turn Meter boost, Provoke and Revive. Maulie is known to cause havoc in arena through specialised builds in speed teams, or to counter the dreaded nuke Hegemon in arena. Her Provoke ability doesn’t hit and this means it is not affected by affinity disadvantage and will always land if the accuracy check is passed. Her A2 is the main candidate to be booked followed by A3. A1 does not require any.
The downside to Maulie is that her provoke isn’t guaranteed to ensure the enemy is under Provoke 100% of the time. However, that is complimented by her passive that can provide 20% TM boost, once per turn, when she is hit. Moreover, the addition of a Block Damage when reviving is a nice bonus to her already strong set of skills.
Masteries
For General PVE content, it is advised to build Maulie Tankard with the Support and Defence trees. The Support tree aims at capitalising on her Provoke through tier 6 Eagle Eye mastery and corresponding Accuracy improvements. The use of Lore of Steel is to help improve her stats (be it Speed or Accuracy) to allow for more room to increase her HP and Defence. For tier 5 masteries on the Defence tree, Selfless defender is used as a measure to help mitigate some damage that may occur to an ally if the Accuracy check fails and they are not provoked. An alternative is Spirit Haste on the Support tree which boosts the champ speed when an ally dies, allowing Maulie to cycle her revive skill quicker. The use of Cycle of Revenge provides her with more opportunities for TM increase to take turns more often.
Gear & Stats Build
The gear and the required stats on Maulie Tankard will highly depend on where you want to use her.
The general focus of Maulie in PVE / PVP is on Speed, Accuracy, then HP and Def. Resistance can be helpful as part of her kit in Doom Tower and dungeons to prevent enemy debuffs from landing, but the gear requirements for DT are high and require the strongest set of gear and glyphs. Bear in mind that the Accuracy requirement for waves in Doom Tower Hard is around 300. Around 200+ speed is neccessary for late game content. Accuracy requirements for Arena can also exceed 300 easily depending on the tier you’re fighting in.
Typical Maulie sets that are used range from:
- Speed
- Immortal (for extra hp% and heals every turn)
- Perception
- Immunity and Untouchable (For use within Arena)
- Shield (For use mainly within Arena, can be used in Doom Tower if the Accuracy and Speed requirements can be met)
- Frost
Maulie can even use broken set pieces as long as you have enough stats for her and the correct team setup.

- Ring: HP / Def
- Amulet: HP / Def
- Banner: Accuracy
Refresh accessories are very useful for her and are highly recommended. In Arena Reaction is highly prized if you can get it.
Faction Wars Runs
Maulie Tankard in Faction Wars 21 provides strong CC through her Provoke and the ability to Revive (which is limited within the dwarf faction.) She can support the vulnerable damage dealers and supports, such as Hurndig and Gala Longbraids, through the entirety of the faction wars 21 boss fight and keep them alive.
It is important to capitalise on her Provoke as much as possible by ensuring Maulie Tankard is fast enough to cycle round and land her Provoke debuff again before expiry of existing Provokes. This is possible when paired with champs that can keep Maulie alive through continuous heals or shields. Maulie can provide an easier route to progress towards Lydia by allowing the player to Revive at the last instance of the boss fight achieving the three stars.
Team Composition and Roles
In the featured team:
- Gala for the Aura and dps
- Hurndig for AOE Def Down
- Maulie for TM boosts and revive
- Rearguard Sergeant for ally protection and healing
- Underpriest Brogni for shield, healing and DPS
Note that Hurndig and RGS are low level to showcase Maulie abilities in saving the team.
