Raid Shadow Legends: Jingwon Champion Guide

Jingwon is a legendary void affinity champion from the shadowkin faction in Raid Shadow Legends. He is a good mid-tier champion overall, with plenty to offer, but can often be outcompeted by better champions. However, regardless of this, players will find that Jingwon is often best used in Arena teams. As such, in this guide we will provide a build guide for Jingwon, including details on masteries, stats and gear. Followed by strategies and tactics for using Jingwon in the Arena and Faction Wars.

Jingwon End Game Build Guide

Jingwon is a HP based champion with low damage and there are usually better choices available. Due to this he has been largely neglected and forgotten.

However, he does have some niche uses in Raid, especially in high-end Arena. We are primarily interested in is his passive. The passive consists of a two parts. The passive effect makes him immune to Fear, True Fear, Provoke, Sleep, Stun and Petrification while the active effect removes all the same debuffs from all allies at the end of each enemy or ally turn and places a Block Debuffs on champions with debuffs removed. This immunity and auto-cleanse skills allow him to be relevant against many CC champions such as Kymar

Skills

His other skills, A1 transfers debuffs from himself to the target, while A2 increase durations of debuffs and places a Block Active Skills on targets with Decrease ACC or Decrease C. DMG on the target. A3 is an two hit AoE attack that has a chance to place Decrease ACC on the first hit, and Decrease C. DMG on the second hit, placing Strenghten on himself. A2 allows his to extend Poisons to increase the Poison Burst damage in dungeons to nuke waves and bosses.

Masteries

For this showcase Jingwon is built for damage with a hybrid masteries. In the offense tree we have masteries for extra damage overall with Helmsmasher as T6 choice. Helmsmasher could easily be replaced with Warmaster or Eagle eye if you would prefer them. In the support tree we have the three first tiers for extra Accuracy, while T4 consists of Lore of Steel and more importantly Evil Eye (this mastery requires Accuracy to land). It is selected to reduce champions Turn Meter in the arena, to make the fights a bit safer.

Jingwon use in arena does not require him to have masteries, as we mainly use him for his passive. So no masteries or even books are required, if you are a low spend or F2P.

Gear & Stats Build

Jingwon can be geared in any set. To make him a bit more useful the Stun Set could be used for additional Crowd Control, but any broken set or Perception/Accuracy set could be used for the added bonuses. In this showcase he is built in Savage with broken offset for some additional support damage with enough accuracy to debuff low Resistance targets.

Recommended Main Stats

  • Gloves – HP%/C. Rate/C. DMG
  • Chest – HP%/ACC
  • Boots – Speed/HP%
  • Ring – Anything
  • Amulet – Anything
  • Banner – Anything

As for accessories Revenge (With the mastery Evil eye) or Reaction could be used.

Faction Wars Strategy

In Faction Wars at stage 21, Jingwon helps the waves. He deals AoE damage with his A3 and can lock out the Maneater on the second wave to clear the wave faster, even if it is conditional to Decrease ACC and Decrease C. DMG. On the boss wave he also helps with a faster victory as a damage dealer and will also cleanse the stun that the boss puts on your team.

Overall he is a great support for cleansing Crowd Control that comes your way in any content, but is lacking with the rest of his kit for a more permanent role on your teams.

Arena Strategy

Jingwon’s main use in arena is a way to counter Kymar teams. When enemy Kymar sleeps your team, Jingwon will cleanse the sleep and put a Block Debuffs on the champions that got cleansed. This enables you to run into Arbiter/Kymar and Kymar/Siphi teams that are faster than you, and cut in with either your own Arbiter/Kymar, other hard CC or champions that put enemy team abilities on cooldown.

Jingwon could also be used against Tormin teams. Tormin will either put a Freeze on you when you buff or gain turn meter boosts or put a Taunt on you with his A3. To consider is Tormins Freeze is not 100% chance to land, so be careful using speed boosters against Tormin as you can end up with champions without Block Debuffs. Other champions you could counter with Jingwon are Maulie, Umbral Enchantress and Astralon to mention a few.
