Raid Shadow Legends: Ghostborn Champion Guide

Ghostborn is a legendary spirit affinity champion from the dark elves faction in Raid Shadow Legends. He features an awesome and unique A3, which can be used to drop the oppositions defence without any accuracy requirements, this applies to all of the enemies team members. However, the rest of his abilities do need accuracy to work, including his AOE heal reducation and A1 drop defense. So, how you build Ghostborn will require you to make a tricky decision. He is good in a number of areas, although dungeon runs and faction wars are two popular areas, which we will cover in this champion guide.

Ghostborn End Game Build Guide

Ghostborn is a Spirit affinity Legendary Champion from the Dark Elves Faction. He is a very unique champion in that he is the only champion in the game who can place an AOE irresistable 60% Decrese Defense Debuff. This makes him extremely valuable especially in the Late Game as he ensures 100% consistency in runs if used with the appropriate team setup as all champions have an innate 3% chance to resist debuffs regardless of Resistance. The 3% resist can sometimes cause runs to fail or take longer than usual and in the Late Game, consistency and efficiency is extremely valuable.

Additionally, he also places a 50% Increase Attack buff on your team in the same skill. This allows either your Nuker to do more damage or provides an additional buff for Seer (which will be the primary champion used in Ghostborn teams) to strip. Keep in mind he does have a weakness in his usability. Due to his affinity, he can still weak hit against Magic Champions and weak hits does not apply debuffs. This guide will showcase Ghostborn in teams designed to be 100% consistent against Dragon, Fire Knight dungeons, and Faction Wars.

Booking his A3 is required as it increases the chnace to apply his AOE Dec Defense to 100%. Books on his other skills are not necessary but can be helpful.

Masteries

As for masteries, take the Offense and Support tree. In the Offense tree, take the standard Crit Rate, Crit Damage, and all the left damage increasing masteries down to T6 Warmaster. In the Support tree, take the accuracy masteries, Rapid Response, Lore of Steel, Evil Eye, and Master Hexer.

Gear & Stats Build

Ghostborn is relatively easy to gear. You mainly want to prioritize his Speed so that he is speedtuned with your team so he applies his AOE Dec Defense before your Nukers go. Once you hit the necessary speed, give him enough accuracy, around 230+ for Dungeon 20+ as he can still apply Dec Def on his A1 and lower TM with Evil Eye. Then, you can choose to either gear him with damage stats, Crit Rate, Crit Damage, and Attack or survivability with HP and Def. This choice will depend on the style of team you use him in. For the purpose of this guide, he is geared for survivability.

As for sets, Untouchable or Immunity set is ideal for the sole purpose of granting him an extra buff for Seer to strip. Then you can use any other stat increasing sets such as Speed, Perception, or broken pieces to complete his build. Additionally, Bloodshield accessories are also recommended for the same reason of granting him an extra buff.

Dragon 24 Strategy

For Dungeon runs, we always want to use Ghostborn in a very specific type of team which is the Seer team with a reset champion. This type of team usually includes 4 primary champion, Seer, Reset, Dec Def which will be Ghostborn, and a buffer. Then we have 1 more room for a DPS depending on the type of boss. So in this team, we have:

  1. Ma’Shallad – Provides Buffs as well as some DPS.
  2. Ninja – DPS slot for the Dragon (Ninja is weak affinity on Dragon 25 so he can be swapped to any other Poisoner in this exact same team for Dragon 25).
  3. Seer – Primary Wave Nuker.
  4. Renegade – Reset champion.
  5. Ghostborn – Irresistable Decrease DEF and Buff.

It’s worth noting that when using Ghostborn, you do not have a Weaken debuff so, your Seer needs to be well geared to successfully kill the waves. As with Ghostborn, gearing your other champions with Immunity, at least one champion in Shield and Bloodshield accessories will help.

Fire Knight 25 Tactics

For Dungeon runs, we always want to use Ghostborn in a very specific type of team which is the Seer team with a reset champion. This type of team usually includes 4 primary champion, Seer, Reset, Dec Def which will be Ghostborn, and a buffer. Then we have 1 more room for a DPS depending on the type of boss. For Fire Knight, the last slot will always go to Alure if you have her. So in this team, we have:

  1. Archmage Helmut– Provides Buffs.
  2. Alure – Fire Knight TM Controller.
  3. Seer – Primary Nuker against the wave and boss.
  4. Renegade – Reset Champion.
  5. Ghostborn – Irresistible Decrease DEF and buff.

It’s worth noting that when using Ghostborn, you do not have a Weaken debuff so, your Seer needs to be well geared to successfully kill the waves. As with Ghostborn, gearing your other champions with Immunity, at least one champion in Shield and Bloodshield accessories will help.

Faction Wars Runs

In Faction Wars, he will simply be used for AOE Dec Def and Inc Atk buff for your Nukers since there’s really no combo mechanic he can be used for here. He’ll help speed up your run by providing the Inc Atk buff since there no other good champion in the Dark Elves that can do it. Here is an example of a FW 21 team consisting of:

  1. Ghostborn – Decrease Def, Inc Atk as described above.
  2. Rian – Buff Strip and places Weaken.
  3. Lydia – Provides Nice Buffs and Debuffs.
  4. Blinding Seer – Supports by Reviving, place Shields and Block Debuffs Buff.
  5. Foli – Primary Damage Dealer.
