Raid Shadow Legends: Diabolist Champion Guide

Diabolist is a rare magic affinity champion from the demonspawn faction in Raid Shadow Legends. She is a decent rare, with good application for the early game of Raid Shadow Legends. Diabolist has the ability to apply a turn meter boost to your team, while also having the ability to apply a turn meter decrease to your enemy. A stun set works optimally with Diabolist, particularly in Faction Wars, where it will provide control over the incoming waves. Additionally, Diabolist also makes a good champion for use in early game arena, which we will delve deeper into further on in this Diabolist champion guide.

Diabolist Early Game Guide

In the early game setting your main goal is to 6 star your starter and to start farming 12-3 brutal campaign. That part of campaign is where Diabolist lives and will eventually join your roster if you farm it.

Her main use is the Turn Meter Speed boost if you don’t have better alternative champions and she requires low investment to help you in Arena to get from Bronze to Silver. As shown in the Arena early guide you do not need to level her and do not need to have any masteries for her to work properly.

Masteries

You can opt to ascend Diabolist to 3 stars and get her accuracy to allow her to decrease the Turn meter of enemies. However, that would require additional accuracy and maitaining both that and the high speed can be difficult for early game. Taking the first two Support tree Masteries can help with this, but it’s not required

Gear & Stats Build

To fulfil her speed boosting role the best, Diabolist quite simply needs to be the fastest on your team and has to be faster than your opponents. To achieve this – anything goes. This means that when you have equipment that may have bad main stats (e.g. gloves with flat hp) but good substat procs in speed you keep those items around and put them on your main speed booster.

This is especially true for 5 star gear and above as their speed substats become a significant source of additional speed. Speed mainstat boots are non-negotiable (5 star wanted for early game) and speed substats on all other pieces. You can farm that gear in brutal campaign.

The Speed set with 12% bonus is best in slot, but in this example random pieces with high speed rolls were used because the speed sets did not have enough speed substats. Accuracy is secondary, don’t sacrifice Speed to get it. Perception sets can be helpful too, but it’s best to use them on your Decrease DEF champion, in this Arena composition – Warmaiden. Accuracy is way more important for her role.

A good rule of thumb to follow is if a Speed set (2 pieces) has no speed substats, 2 Random set pieces that add up to 13 speed substats or more are better than the pure Speed set. That can change for other champs with higher/lower basespeed.

Arena Build with Diabolist

Note that you need to manual Diabolist in Arena as she will not use her A3 on auto. Going first in Bronze Arena nearly always means you win if you follow the basic sequence of:

  1. Be faster than your opponent
  2. Don’t let them cut into your turn sequence
  3. Place AOE DEF Down
  4. Nuke them

Focus on getting your Diabolist as much speed as possible and tuning your other champions according to the early game Arena guide to achieve good results.
