Raid Shadow Legends: Death Hound Champion Guide

Death Hound is a common magic affinity champion from the undead hordes faction in Raid Shadow Legends. He is very rarely found in raid teams, as he is a low-tier champion, especially in the end game scenarios. However, he does have a strong A1 attack which can heal a large amount of damage to opponents, although this is only a single target attack, sadly. Furthermore, if you do decide to use Death Hound, players will find his best place is in the Arena, as such we have provided a build guide for death hound in the arena during this guide.

Death Hound Platinum Tank Buster Build Guide

In this interesting guide feature we look at how a common can be viable in Platinum Arena. Note that this is more of a fun build rather than a viable f2p strategy, but it does demonstrate the capabilities of some common heroes to overcome their handicap of stats and lack of ascension.

Due to the nature of how Death Hound’s A1 works, he is a superb and cheap choice to use vs heavy shielded, high resist tank teams, especially with Warlord in the composition.

Masteries

The following masteries are for arena only, specifically vs high HP/DEF tanks and teams that can contain Siphi, Duchess, Valkyrie, Krisk, Warlord, etc. We mostly want to maximize the damage output from Death Hound or multiple Death Hounds, so a typical arena offence and defence tree build is the best way to go, with one major exception.

In 95% of the cases on offence tier 6 mastery [Helm Smasher] will out perform [Flawless Execution], however in case of Death Hound since A1 will ignore 100% DEF if the champion is crit capped, you would like to stack as much crit damage as possible, especially considering that commons can not be ascended and as such can not be outfitted with necklace and banner.

Additional note: [Blood Shield] was picked as T5 offence mastery, simply because it is the only way to reach [Flawless Execution].

Gear & Stats Build

The best gear set that can be fitted on Death Hound is Swift Parry, to add that additional rng reliant factor of unkillable just in case things will go wrong. However, any gear will work as long as lots of attack and crit damage can be stacked. Speed is much less important as Death Hound will shine on a team with an AOE counter attack the most.

Recommended Main Stats

  • Glove: CritDamage%/Crit Rate %
  • Chest: Atk%
  • Boots: Atk%
  • Ring: –
  • Amulet: –
  • Banner: –

For boots and chest you want ATT% and for the gloves you would want Crit Damage, or in the worst case scenario Crit Rate or ATK%. This is fine as long as needed amount of Crit Damage or Crit Rate can be achieved from the sub stats. Another important part of the build is resistance. As much resistance as possible will help, however it should be a secondary or tertiary focus with the major one going into damage output of the champion.
