Raid Shadow Legends: Bergoth the Malformed Champion Guide

Bergoth the Malformed is an epic spirit affinity champion from the knights revenant faction in Raid Shadow Legends. He is a strong champion for his faction and one of their best healers. As such, he is best used in faction wars teams, although can also be strong for dungeon runs and clan boss. In this guide we will showcase a build that is suited to both dungeons and faction wars. If you wish to run clan boss with Bergoth then it is recommended to run a leech champion or lifesteal gear on Bergoth.

Bergoth the Malformed Late Game Build Guide

Bergoth the Malformed was a relatively easy fusion back in November 2020 so many have access to him one way or the other. Despite this, most people keep him as a vault guardian and don’t use him. In this guide we are going to demonstrate that he has a kit that can be very useful in various content in Raid. Specifically he can shine in a team of epic champions that can fully auto-complete one of the most difficult factions in the game – Knight Revenant.

Skills

Bergoth has a decent skill kit that can come in handy in various game content. His A1 has a 50% chance of applying a Continuous Heal if the attack is critical, which allows him to maintain this buff periodically, especially in CA compositions. This ability is complemented by his passive that heals his allies for 20% of the damage he receives. Although he requires 100% Crit Rate to place the continuous heal on the A1, it is not recommended to build him to do damage because his multipliers are quite poor.

His last ability is the main reason he is useful especially in Faction Wars. He has a 30% chance to apply AOE Provoke, that can be booked to 60%. This ability is very useful against the waves of Valkyries in the FW. As he does not have a 100% chance, it is not recommended to use this champion in the Arena since this is not reliable enough for CC.

Masteries

To complement these abilities, the Fearsome Presence mastery is recommended as the T6 mastery to maximise the chances of placing the Provoke debuff and Sniper for the continuous heal placement. Otherwise the usual Accuracy and TM boosting masteries are selected for more frequent skill application.

Gear & Stats Build

Bergoth can be built in several ways depending on the content you want to use him in. In this build for FW, it is necessary to have a low crit rate because the Crypt 21 boss steals the buffs and you don’t want him to steal Continuous Heal and suddenly gain his health back.

It is also recommended to build it in Stun Set to increase the chances of CC against the Valkyries. The most important stat is the Accuracy which is recommended at a min of 250 for FW and around 350 for hard Doom Tower. The rest of the effort is focused on making him as tanky possible to be able to heal the allies when receiving the attacks of the enemies caused by his A2. A decent set of stats would be around 60k HP and 2.5k DEF.

Recommended Main Stats

  • Gloves: HP% / DEF%
  • Chest: HP%/DEF% / ACC
  • Boots: Speed
  • Ring: HP/DEF
  • Amulet: HP/DEF with acc substat
  • Banner: ACC / DEF / HP

Faction Wars Team & Strategy

The team featured here shows a full team of non-void epic champions defeating one of the toughest factions on auto. Rector Drath is the key here that makes auto possible. She has Veil buff, healing and revive along with ATK Down debuff on A1. Rector does not need any special masteries and can be built in a generic way, trying to make her as tanky as possible (regen, immortal, reflex sets for example). If you are going to try manual, make sure not to use the heal with Rector just before the boss steals the buffs.

Bergoth needs to be booked to increase the chances of applying the provoke, but you can do it without it if you are patient and ready for rng to keep the Valkyries on wave 2 in stun and provoke. It is important not to build Belgorth with high Crit Rate because the boss can steal the Continuous heal buffs that he applies on A1. Sinesha can be used for healing and works well in a stun set to keep the waves under stuns. Doompriest with Relentless set can be utilised to remove the debuffs from the waves and from boss skills. Additional passive healing is a nice bonus. Finally, Necrohunter is the main dps of the team and provides Decrease DEF that is a key dps enabler for the whole team especially if they have Warmaster as their T6 mastery

This same team will work in hard Doom Tower Secret Room 10 of the Eternal Dragon rotation that requires Knight Revenant Epics.
