Raid Shadow Legends: Artak Champion Guide

Artak is a legendary champion from the Orcs faction in Raid Shadow Legends. He is a free log in reward for players after 7 days of playing Raid. Artak is very powerful, maybe the most powerful since Ninja’s release.

Cycling his skills in the correct order is vital for getting Artak to show his true ability. Players should begin with his A3, which attacks all enemies twice, with the chance to place a HP burn debuff on them for 2 turns. This can then be extended for one turn through the use of his A1 ability. Followed by his A2 which will instantly detonate all burns. This high hitting rotation can deal huge amounts of damage in spider, hydra clan boss, frost spider, ice golem and more.

Artak Late Game Guide

Artak is a great champion for any stage of the game, thanks to good survivability and useful debuffs, he can find a place in many PvE content locations. If you can gear him well he can surpise you with his efficiency.

In this guide, we are going to look at a versatile PvE build, due to the fact that Artak is a HP based champion, increasing his HP and survivability while increasing his damage, so a DPS build with sufficient Accuracy is our aim. The Artak in this guide is completely booked for maximum effectiveness, but if you don’t have many books, A2 and A3 should be the top priority for you to increase debuff placing chances and reduce skills cooldown.

Masteries

When we choosing a mastery branches, we select them for our target content. In this case, for best results on PvE content Warmaster T6 is the number one choice. Ruthless Ambush and Cycle of Violence are option for campaign farming. Whirlwind of Death its good choice for leveling up food champions in some dungeons if its your main priority.

For the second branch it is better to take Support to increase Accuracy. Master Hexer helps extend the duration of debuffs and Spirit Haste is one more good option for level up food champions in dungeons. It is worth noting that Arcane Celerity is an excellent choice too, usually this mastery is not taken so that it does not knock down the speed tune in teams on the Clan Boss, but Artak constantly increases his speed with his passive skill, which makes it almost impossible to make a stable team for him in that content. Of course, you can use Artak by disabling A3 in AI setting for him as maybe you are interested in the periodic Decrease ATK debuff, but part of the effectiveness of the champion is lost. Therefore, if you do not use Artak in a team with a strict turn order, you can take Arcane Celerity as well.

Gear & Stats Build

Maximum versatility can be achieved in mid and late game with a Lifesteal set. Any other secondary set can be used to get the necessary stats, in this case Perception from the Forge for more Accuracy. Regeneration/Immortal sets are another great option for PvE, however, getting such artifacts is much more difficult than Lifesteal.

We need to reach around 230-250 Accuracy for early PvE content and Speed tune for CB if you use a strict turn order or for your team in the dungeons. In this case 184 is used for UNM Cb team to show the use of a strict tune team on CB with Artak. Around 100% Crit Rate needed for farming campaign and fast clearing waves in dungeon. For solo farm dungeon Artak needs around 250+ Resistance with his passive skill, which also increase the resistance and its shoud be enough. Focus the rest of the stats in HP and DEF, we are not interested in ATK.

Recommended Main Stats

  • Gloves – Crit Damage if you have collected around 100% of the Сrit Rate in the additional parameters, if not – better take gloves with Crit Rate main stat.
  • Chest – HP% but you can use RES if you don’t have enough stats for your tasks;
  • Boots – SPD;
  • Ring – HP/DEF;
  • Amulet – Crit Damage;
  • Banner – ACC.

UNM Clan Boss

Artak’s passive skill gradually increases his Speed, which leads us to a dead end with the selection of a strict speed tune teams. The simplest solution would be to use a team without strict turn ordering, a standard Speed team that can still perform well even on a UNM Clan Boss. Let’s pick one of these as an example.

In speed team we need champions with an Increase Speed buff, TM boost and have a Speed aura. The main task is to take turns as often as possible and deal damage to the boss fast before he becomes too powerful.

Team Setup

Here is an example budget composition UNM Clan Boss for 4 keys for the last chest, an option for those who are just starting to farm this difficulty:

  1. Sandlashed Survivor for increasing the duration of useful buffs and increasing survivability thanks to her passive skill.
  2. Shamrock for Increase SPD and DEF buffs.
  3. Kunoichi for Ally Protection buff to increase team survivability plus useful debuffs.
  4. Fayne for dps, Poisons, Decrease DEF, ATK and Weaken debuffs.
  5. Artak for dps and Decrease ATK debuff.

Hydra Clan Boss

On Hydra Clan Boss Artak is a great option. He has AOE Decrease ATK debuff which will help our team survive the Hydra’s heavy hits and especially the head of Wrath. HP burn debuff deals significant damage to Hydra and all his skills have AOE attacks what deal decent damage with Warmaster. In Late Game+ it would even be possible to use a Provocation Set to Provoke the Head of Decay that Cleanses if you decided to focus Artak solely on this content.

Team Setup

Together this is enough to take the last chest on Normal difficulty without issues in a budget setting with some epic champions. Here is an team example:

  1. Tayrel for AOE Decrease DEF debuff and good aura.
  2. Apothecary for Increase SPD buff plus TM boost and healing.
  3. Rector Drath for Perfect Veil buff (against Head of Torment), reviving, and healing.
  4. Artak for dps and AOE Decrease ATK debuff.
  5. Shatterbones for Decrese SPD debuff and some dps.
  6. Doompriest for cleansing and healing.

Ice Golem 20

Artak is a great dungeon champion for your team. He performs 2 tasks – keeps enemies under the Decrease ATK debuff, increasing the survivability of the team, and also deals damage due to the HP burn to both enemies on the waves and bosses. The Ice Golem is a dungeon where Artak with his skills will definitely come in handy.

Team Build

Here is an example composition for Ice Golem 20 with no revival champion:

  1. Tayrel for AOE Decrease DEF debuff.
  2. Apothecary for SPD buff and healing.
  3. Artak for dps and AOE Decrease ATK debuff.
  4. Frozen Banshee for Pioson dps on bosses himself.

Artak can level up food champions at this level without any problems if we use special masteries and the Lifesteal set.

Spider 20

The Spider’s Den dungeon is one of main Artak’s skillset destinations. Thanks to the AOE HP burn debuff, he deals a lot of damage and helps defeat the boss with ease, plus his Decrease ATK debuff will prevent your team from taking too much damage.

Team Build

Here is an example composition for Spider’s Den lvl 20:

  1. Tayrel for AOE Decrease DEF debuff and decrease bosses TM.
  2. Apothecary for SPD buff and healing.
  3. Artak for HP burn dps and AOE Decrease ATK debuff.

This dungeon also allows our Artak build to level up food champions at this stage without any problems.

Dragon 20

Dragon’s Lair dungeon is one of most important PvE areas for this stage of the game and stable farming of high floors will speed up account progress. Artak is great champion for this dungeon, his main task is to place AOE Decrease ATK debuff. Survivability of the team increases on the waves and on the boss itself and the HP burn debuff helps clean waves and boss faster.

Since we gear Artak in the DPS build, here he perfectly fulfills the role of the main damage dealer too.

Team Build

Here is an example composition for Dragon 20 with no revive:

  1. Tayrel for AOE Decrease DEF debuff.
  2. Apothecary for Increase SPD buff and healing.
  3. Artak for dps and AOE Decrease ATK debuff.
  4. Frozen Banshee to quickly kill the Dragon with Poisons.

Unfortunately in this build, Artak doesn’t have enough damage to solo kill the Dragon faster than he will accumulate enough damage increasing to his Scorch skill and destroy him.

Fire Knight 20

In the Fire Knight’s Castle dungeon, Artak is a good choice. Although he does not have multi-hit, he does have a useful Decrease ATK debuff that will help both on the waves and on the boss himself if he often closes his shield. However, make sure you have enough multi-hitters on your team to bring down the boss’s shield and then there shouldn’t be a problem with clearing.

Team Build

Here is an example composition for Fire Knight 20 with no revival champion:

  1. Tayrel for AOE Decrease DEF and ATK debuffs;
  2. Apothecary for Increase SPD buff and healing;
  3. Shatterbones for dps and Decrease SPD debuff plus Decrease bosses TM;
  4. Artak for dps and AOE Decrease ATK debuff;
  5. Armiger to Decrease the turn meter and quickly kill the Boss with MAX HP skill.
