While magic is one of the primary combat skills, it also provides an large amount of utility. With multiple different spell books players can use for a variety of different spells. Some as combat focused, but others provide different benefits and perks for activities such as skilling. This post will show you how to switch spell books in OSRS.
How to switch to the Lunar Spellbook?
To use the Lunar Spellbook players must complete Lunar Diplomacy. After this players can visit the Astral Altar on Lunar Isle to change to the Lunar Spellbook.
How to switch to the Ancient Spellbook?
To use the Ancient Spellbook players must have unlocked it via the Desert Treasure I quest. After this players can change their spellbook to ancient magicks by entering the Jaldraocht Pyramid and praying at the altar.
How to switch to the Arceuus Spellbook?
The Arceuus Spellbook requires a minimum of 60% Arceuus house favour to use. To change to the Arceuus spellbook players should speak to Tyss at the Dark Altar.
How to switch back to the Standard Spellbook?
Players can switch back to standard using the same method they used to get their current spellbook.
Alternative methods of switching spellbook
Magic Cape
Players with level 99 magic can use the magic skillcape to swap spellbooks. This perk can be used up to a maximum of 5 times per day.
PoH Altar
Players can build an altar in their PoH that allows them to easily switch spellbooks. Players can build an altar for any of the spellbooks. At level 90 construction players are able to combine the three spellbooks into the occult altar. The occult altar can be used to access any of the three main spellbooks.
Players can use other players PoH’s if they do not have an altar themself. World 330 is the official house party world for this.
