Warmaiden Early Game Guide

In the early game setting your main goal is to 6 star your starter and to start farming 12-3 brutal campaign. Warmaiden is a farmable champion that you can get from campaign and she’s arguably the one who sees the most late game usage out of all champins obtainable in campaign.

Warmaiden and other AOE DEF Down champions play an extremely important role in Arena. DEF Down increases the damage dealt by the nuker tremendously and defines the metagame all the way up to and including some of the Platinum tier. She is worth booking. You can do it using duplicates from the campaign or Rare books to book her A3 for 100% chance.

Placing Debuffs

To place the debuffs she requires three things.

  1. She needs to be fast enough to place the debuff on the opponents.
  2. She needs to have enough Accuracy.
  3. You need to be mindful of negative Affinity – Spirit champions.

Thankfully, there are not that many meta Spirit Affinity champions in Bronze and Silver. You want to get the first two Accuracy masteries for Warmaiden because those give a huge boost especially early on.

Gear & Stats Build

The best set for Warmaiden to fulfill her role are the Perception sets crafted in the Forge as they provide two most important stats for her: Accuracy and Speed.

In this build 217 accuracy was overkill for bronze arena. 3x Accuracy sets or perception set are usually enough for this stage of the game (120 accuracy without any substats). Make sure to prioritise speed and accuracy substats for her on 4 star gear and higher apart from just the set bonuses.

  • Glove: Any
  • Chest: Accuracy
  • Boots: Speed
  • Ring: Any

If you want to use Warmaiden in dungeons, she should also have some HP and DEF (HP%/DEF% Gloves and Chest). Accuracy chest was used here because she is 3 star with minimal investment. She is very squishy, and not used outside of Arena in this case.

Warmaiden Mid Game Arena Build

Warmaiden, is one of the highest value champions in terms of usefulness in the game, helpfulness in progression, and ease of access. She is a farmable champion from campaign and a rare, meaning everyone should have early access to her.

As a mid game player as you progress in the dungeons you will find that the waves of enemies are getting far more health and defence than you can handle. AOE Decrease Defence on a low cooldown is one of the most important roles to make your runs faster and safer. An added benefit for both PVE and Arena is that champions that scale with Defence stat hit much lower under the Decrease Defence debuff. If you are not lucky to have amazing legendaries that have this skill, Warmaiden has your back!

Masteries

Her skills are great, and they determine her mastery choices:

  • A3: Attacks all enemies and has 100% chance (when booked) of landing big version 60% [Decrease Defence]. There are only 3 rare champions that can do this, and only 2-3 in the game that are force affinity. So from an affinity and early access perspective, Warmaiden is second to none. Watch out only for Spirit affinity content where her ability may have weak hits and fail.
  • She also self buffs with 50% attack up and has a minor 2.5% poison on A1, that make her excellent for early game spider and early clan boss.

It is worth noting that it is very viable to use her without any or very little masteries (Basic accuracy, crit rate, crit damage) as you are getting her to be your defence down and not main damage source. However, you must book her A3. She can also function decently at levels 40 and 50 if you do not want to max her fully and prefer to spend your resources on the main DPS.

Her masteries can be the following for PvE bosses: Her primary role is to land decrease defence, because that boosts everyone’s subsequent damage. Therefore, you should ensure she has enough accuracy. After that the most utilitarian mastery tree is Warmaster, with support tree up to to master hexer.

Gear & Stats Build

You want Warmaiden to be fast and to go just before the damage/nukers land their hits. A combination of speed sets and perception sets is recommended that will allow her to have the right balance of accuracy and speed. If you would like her to be more tanky you can supplement her with a lifesteal set if you would like.

You need approximately x10 accuracy for the dungeon stage, so Dragon 16 would need her to have 160+ accuracy. Beyond that, you should aim to get her to 100% crit rate, then increase attack% and crit damage thereafter.

Recommended Main Stats

  • Weapon/Helm/Shield: with speed, acc, crit% substat
  • Glove: crit% or crit damage, with speed and acc substat
  • Chest: Attack% or Acc, with speed and crit% substat
  • Boots: Speed, with Acc and crit% substat
  • Ring: Attack, with Att% substat
  • Amulet: CritDmg, with acc substat
  • Banner: Acc, with speed and Att% substat

You can acquire perception gear in the forge and get speed sets from Dragon or Campaign. She is not difficult to gear and provides good value in lots of content.
