Valkyrie is a legendary champion from the Barbarian Faction in Raid Shadow Legends. She is particularly strong in clan boss and fire knight, although can be used in other dungeons and the arena. One of her best abilities allows her to buff the entire team with a counter attack buff, while doing this a shield is also applied to the team, this shield scales based on the amount of defence Valkyrie has. This guide will cover valkyries main stats, skills and provide information on how to optimise her gear and masteries. Followed by information on how to best set her up for late game arena, clan boss and dungeon runs.

Valkyrie Skills Overview
A1: Denigration
Attacks 1 enemy 2 times. Decreases Turn Meter by 10% on each hit if the target has any buffs.

A2: Stand Firm
Attacks all enemies. Places a [Shield] buff on all allies for 3 turns and a [Counterattack] buff on all allies for 2 turns. The value of the [Shield] and the damage inflicted are proportional to this Champion’s DEF.

This Champion’s Turn Meter will be increased by 10% each time an enemy Champion places a buff. Enemy Champions will have their Turn Meters decreased by 10% for each buff they receive.

Valkyrie Late Game Guide
Valkyrie is one of the best clan boss heroes in the game. When utilized to the fullest she can survive up to turns 50+ on ultra-nightmare. Definitely spend books until her A2 counterattack skill is booked to cooldown.
Her weak Defensive base stats make her fragile, but there exist dozens of unkillable and speed tuned compositions that allow her to ignore DEF and focus on Attack and DPS.
Masteries
Valkyrie differs from most hero builds on ultra-nightmare clan boss. While she can be built with the standard defence tree masteries, her shields are what make her so good for her role. She pulls double duty both by putting AOE counterattack on the team and making survival possible.
Shieldbearer, Healing Savior, Merciful Aid can really boost the survivability of the team with the massive shields. Warmaster is the key on clan boss as usual for extra damage and healing if you’re using the lifesteal set.
A word of caution on Lasting Gifts mastery: if you have a dedicated tank that is the only one that gets targeted by clanboss to make your composition work, lasting gifts can really mess it up by extending counterattack and shields from Valkyrie, switching the target to another hero.
In the UNM comp later in this guide you will see Banshee is the main tank, but Sepulcher Sentinel can also easily fit this role if Lasting Gifts extend the buffs.
Gear & Stats Build
Set: lifesteal + anything. For Valkyrie her defence is everything as her shields scale from it. This means that even in late game+ you want to focus on pumping her defence as high as possible. Lifesteal set allows her to tank UNM clan boss on Magic Affinity in this Composition.
You can also run Valkyrie on Clan Boss in stalwart sets or simply broken sets, especially if you have a mass healer in your composition.

You may want to stack enough defense based on how long your stun champion is surviving. If Valkyrie’s shield isn’t getting dented and your stun champion is dying you will get a significant increase in damage by dropping defense on all other champions except for the stun champion and increasing crit rate and damage on everyone to get the most dps on clan boss overall for true late game+ min maxing.
Clan Boss
Valkyrie is slow tuned in this build to allow for hitting both NM and UNM cb. this team can do about 65 mil on void NM and can 3 key any affinity of UNM. Valkyrie benefits immensely from Defence Up buff. Always include a hero that provides it for clan boss and most content if you’re using this build. For spirit use double counter composition for reasons explained below. You can find other heroes in the comp using the respective guide command.
Dealing with Valkyrie problems for Clan Boss
Valkyrie has a serious drawback on affinity clan boss. Her passive is great for arena, but on clan boss she gets a turn meter boost every time clan boss buffs himself with attack up. There are three ways to deal with this:
- Have a fast tuned Counterattack team that also has a block buffs in the comp. For example, a Vizier or Norog would go before the clan boss takes his first turn and place block buffs. This would prevent the passive from triggering.
- Having a fast tuned Counterattack team. I’ve heard reports that when Valkyrie is fast tuned (192 speed) and other heroes are at 194-200 speed her passive doesn’t boost her enough that she overtakes other heroes. This still needs to be tested.
- If you’re lucky enough to have another CA hero you can also run a double counter team.
Valkyrie Late Game+ Arena Build
Valkyrie can be one of the best heroes in Platinum Arena in the current metagame. Her passive allows her to do what most other heroes in the game cannot. She can decrease the turn meter of the opposing teams for each buff. Valkyrie passive works through buff immunity making it possible to win against teams that have crazy amounts of speed, e.g. Siphi with 360 speed.
Masteries
To be effective she needs sufficient accuracy and good shields, hence the choice of Eagle Eye as the final mastery to pass 450+ accuracy mark and the rest of the support and defense masteries to make the team tankier.
Gear & Build
For top Platinum Arena you want to have at least 450-500 accuracy and 240+ speed with this Valkyrie build. 5000 Defence works nicely if you’re planning to use her in other content, e.g. Clan Boss. Use whichever sets will get you the required stats.

Valkyrie Dungeon Runs
Spider 20
Valkyrie is one of the champions that can really help on spider 20, there are a few points to be made about the setup and counterattack.
The best way valkyrie can work on spider is if her speed is much higher than the affinity tanks. This is achieved in a number of ways:
- You can build Valkyrie with speed higher than 200 for spider missions.
- Your affinity tank needs to have no speed items (that’s the case here).
- you can have AOE decrease speed to help.
Valkyries shield allows the team to tank some AOE attacks from spider and increases the survivability. Note, that the big spider permanently increases her attack each time she consumes spiderlings, so this won’t work indefinitely. You need a way to either decrease the turn meter or you need a way to deal massive damage. For example, Ultimate Galek does this here with his mass hp burn.
Fire knight
The Fire knight is where Valkyrie can really advance you both on the waves and against the boss.
While any counterattack hero will slow your runs due to animations, if what you’re looking for is stable completion of the dungeon, Valkyrie is amazing for all the stages there.
