Raid Shadow Legends: Tyrant Ixlimor Champion Guide

Tyrant Ixlimor is a legendary magic affinity champion from the demonspawn faction in Raid Shadow Legends. He is a super powerful champion to use for dungeon runs, particularly spider 20. He has the capabilities to solo this dungeon, although pairing him with Miscreated Monster is even better. In this guide we will cover a dungeon build for Tryant, including advice and guidance on soloing Spider 20 and Ice Golem 20. We will also provide a detail build for clan boss, this is another area where Tyrant excels. Finally, Tyrant Ixlimor is also a viable champion for the Doom Tower, in a number of different areas, although he is best placed in a Frost Spider team, which we also cover in this guide, with advice on team compositions and strategy for the fight.

Tyrant Ixlimor Clan Boss Build Guide

Tyrant Ixlimor is a Magic affinity Legendary champion from the Demonspawn faction that is best known for his AOE HP burn ability and killing Spider 20. He is capable of solo-ing Ice Golem 20 and Spider 20 despite those dungeons being some of the most challenging even with a full team. Aside from Dungeons, Tyrant is an extremely strong Clan Boss champion in standard non-unkillable teams. He provides Ally Protection, 60% Increase Defense Buff, and a passive that reduces damage your team takes from enemies under HP Burn (that he can place) which substantially increases your team’s survivability.

Skills

He makes it possible to survive past turn 50 on Ultra-Nightmare even with non-Defense based champions in the team. Additionally, as one of the few champions that can place AOE HP Burn, he great against the Frost Spider Boss in Doom Tower. Tyrant A2 and A3 are worth booking fully as you are likely to find a use for him at any stage of the game.

Masteries

Masteries on Tyrant will vary depending on where you use him. For a Clan Boss build, the offense and defense trees are highly recommended. As an ally protection champion, he needs the damage mitigation masteries the defense tree provides hence Tough Skin, Blast Proof, Resurgent, Delayed Death are excellent for this purpose. Retribution and Deterrence are selected for a chance to counterattack. In the offense tree the standard Crit Rate, Crit Damage, down to the T6 Warmaster are chosen as with most Clan Boss builds.

Gear & Stats Build

The gear and stats on Tyrant will highly depend on where he will be used. A Clan Boss and Solo Dungeon build will be completely different from each other.

For a Clan Boss build, prioritize Defense, Crit Rate, Crit Damage, Accuracy, HP, and enough Speed to match your CB speed tune. The ideal numbers to hit for UNM are 4k+ Def, 40k+ HP, 100% Crit Rate, 220-250 Accuracy, and as much Crit Damage as possible.

Tyrant has in-built Lifesteal mechanic in his A1 so he does not need to be in Lifesteal gear if you are running a Counterattack Team (conditional on him not being stunned). In this case, Stalwart is the best gear set for him in Clan Boss. You can then complement the Stalwart set with Defense, Speed, Accuracy, or Perception depending on what stats you need.

Recommended Main Stats

  • Glove: Crit Rate / Crit Damage
  • Chest: Def %
  • Boots: Speed / Def %
  • Ring: Defense
  • Amulet: Crit Damage
  • Banner: Accuracy / Defense

Clan Boss Strategy & Tactics

Tyrant is an extremely strong Clan Boss champion in standard non-unkillable teams. He substantially increases your team’s survivability by providing Ally Protection, 60% Increase Defense Buff, and a passive that reduces damage your team takes from enemies under HP Burn.

When paired with another Ally Protection champion like Skullcrusher, your team’s survivability will increase exponentially, making it capable of surviving past turn 50 on UNM even with non-Defense based champions in the team. You need to space out their Ally Protection skill. You should not use them both in the same turn. Ideally use Skullcrusher’s in AOE 1 and Tyrant’s in AOE 2.

Team Composition & Speeds

If you’d like to build an efficient team, the champions used and their speeds are as follow:

  1. Sepulcher Sentinel 227 – Block Stun, Increase Defense.
  2. Tyrant Ixlimor 172 – Secondary Ally Protection, Increase Defense.
  3. Fayne 174 – Decrease Defense, Weaken, Poison, Decrease Attack.
  4. Vizier 176 – Debuff Extension.
  5. Skullcrusher 171 – Counterattack, Ally Protection.

Tyrant Ixlimor Dungeon Build Guide

If you already have Clan Boss covered you may want to opt in for priority on dungeons. For the Solo Dungeon build the Offense and Support Trees are preferred.

Masteries

The offense tree will be the same with the standard Crit Rate, Crit Damage, down to the T6 Warmaster. In the Support Tree, the basic accuracy masteries are chosen with Arcane Celerity for TM when his debuffs expire (this makes the build unsuitable for speed tuned CB). Lore of Steel for additional stats, Evil Eye to reduce TM, and Master Hexer to increase the debuff duration. Spirit Haste is an important mastery for Solo Dungeon builds as you will run the dungeon with food champions and when they die, Tyrant gains 24 more speed.

This build can potentially be used in pure speed clan boss comps, but it wouldn’t reach the full potential as the Stalwart set in a speed-tuned setting.

Gear & Stats Build

For a Solo Dungeon build, prioritize Resistance, Accuracy, Speed, Defense and HP. All his damage will come from HP Burns and Warmaster, so crit rate is not important at all. The ideal numbers to reach are 220-250 Accuracy, 300+ Resistance, 220+ Speed, 4k+ Defense, and 40k+ HP. There are two different types of sets that you can build Tyrant to solo dungeons, Lifesteal or Regeneration. This build showcases the former.

Note that a Solo Tyrant in Regeneration requires more prioritization in HP stats, 50k+ and is harder to build since Regeneration sets are usually harder to find and farm good pieces on Fire Knight. You can then complement the set with Speed, Accuracy, Perception, or Resistance set depending on what stats you need.

The best artifact sets are Stun, Taunting and Daze. Each set is situationally as good as the other and it comes down to what line up you have and what the enemy has. You may want to avoid Taunting if the enemy has a blender because it will severely hurt your team. You may also want to avoid Daze if you have a debuffer that also attacks at the same time such as Stag Knight because it will wake them up. Taunting has the highest chance of the sets to activate so if you build this then make your Hegemon as tanky as possible with HP% gloves and DEF neck/ring with HP% substat due to the scaling of his base stats. Stun provides the most versatility and complete lockout, albeit with a lower chance of activating.

Recommended Main Stats

  • Glove: Def %
  • Chest: Def %
  • Boots: Speed
  • Ring: Defense
  • Amulet: Defense
  • Banner: Accuracy / Resistance

For the Frost Spider in Doom Tower, the same build as the Solo Dungeon Build is recommended but with at least 300 accuracy. Note that this accuracy is not enough to debuff the Frost Spider as it has 500+ Resistance but it is enough to Burn the spiderlings. They are tanky and won’t die easily so they’ll eventually destroy the Frost Spider as collateral. Note that HP burn or block revive is needed in that case.

If you need to Burn the Frost Spider itself for your team 500+ Accuracy for Tyrant is required instead

Solo Spider 20

Tyrant is one of the strongest champions for any Spider dungeon of any affinity and level to date. He’s your lucky ticket if you’re progressing in the game. Solo-ing Spider with Tyrant is very straight forward. He places AOE HP Burn on all the Spiderlings. Every time the Spiderling takes a turn, it damages the main spider. The higher the level and MAX HP of the Spider, the better this strategy works.

With sufficienty high resistance build, he will resist the poisons from the spiderlings and TM reduction from the main spider. He is also strong affinity to the Spider 20 so weak hits from them lets him take less damage. The videos show Tyrant solo-ing Spider 20 with 4 food champions.

Naturally if your Tyrant cannot reach this type of gear and parameters he’ll still be amazing and paired with TM reduction champions like coldheart or with Crowd Control he can duo Spider 20 with relative ease.

Solo Ice Golem 20

Solo-ing Ice Golem with Tyrant is also quite straightforward. With the Solo Dungeon build, he will be able to survive the hits and resist most of the debuffs from the mobs and Boss and heal back up.

The main source of damage will be from AOE HP Burn slowly damaging the boss, the mobs and Warmaster procs. This video shows Tyrant Solo-ing Ice Golem 20 with 4 food champions.

Frost Spider Team

Against the Frost Spider in Doom Tower, Tyrant will be the main damage through his HP Burns. The Frost Spider has a mechanic where it has extremely high resistance and without very good gear, it may not be possible to build Tyrant with that high accuracy.

The spiderlings do not have as high resistance, so you can still HP burn them with around 300+ accuracy and their HP Burn ticks will also damage the Frost Spider. If Tyrant is built with Resistance, he can also resist the freeze and debuffs the Frost Spider places on him.

Team Composition and Roles

Tyrant provides the main damage through his HP Burns and everyone else is there to support. Mausoleum Mage and Doompriest to cleanse and heal, Arbiter to Heal, Boost TM and revive incase anyone dies, and Lydia to block the Frost Spider from Reviving due to the lack of HP burn on the boss.
