Raid Shadow Legends: Tomb Lord Champion Guide

Tomb Lord is a legendary spirit affinity champion from the knights revenant faction in Raid Shadow Legends. For a long time Tomb Lord was relatively ineffective, with Stag Knight and Tayrel making for better options when looking for a champion that can decrease attack and defence. However, he was later buffed into a significantly better champion. His poison damage and A3 ability were both buffed which made him a viable champion for soloing dungeons or as an addition to dungeon teams, faction wars and the Doom Tower. All of which we will cover in-depth in this Tomb Lord champion guide.

Tomb Lord End Game Guide

Tomb Lord has lived up to his name after the introduction of Dungeons 21-25. He occupies a unique PVE niche that allows him to be simultaneously the best champion for the hardest faction and work as a solo dungeon runner in Late Game+.

Skills

This build requires booking his cooldown skills for consistency. The bulk of Tomb Lord’s damage comes from stacking the Poisons on his A2. If Tomb Lord Crits, he lands 4 Poisons. If he doesn’t crit, he lands 2. For this reason, we want to build Tomb Lord with 85% or higher Crit Rate when soloing Dragon 25, where he is the strong affinity and gets a 15% Crit Rate bonus. We don’t require any significant Crit Damage because Poisons are the main damage source. Landing 4 Poisons instead of 2 is required for consistent runs against the Dragon boss, as you won’t do enough damage and will die to Scorch if you only land 2 every time.

Masteries

The masteries are built around Tomb Lord’s ability to solo Dragon 25. While there may be some flexibility in the masteries that you choose, there are two that stand out as “must haves” including Giant Slayer as the T6, to allow him to kill the bosses quickly, and Spirit Haste, which grants him extra speed for having dead allies.

The Spirit Haste mastery comes into play while doing Dragon 25 with 4 “food” champs, giving him a 24 speed boost that allows him to cycle his moves, regenerate health, and overwhelm the enemies. The other masteries are focused on granting him more damage and Accuracy along with speed for faster wave clearing and bosses.

There are 2 distinct builds for the Dragon 25 solo composition – one is more f2p friendly, but has a slower run time, between 3:30-4:00 depending on device. The faster solo comp requires much higher stats because we’re going to make use of the customizable AI to turn Tomb Lord’s A3 off. This prevents Tomb Lord from resetting enemy’s Turn Meters, which prevents the Poisons from detonating which is where the bulk of our damage will come from. On Plarium Play the run time is around 2:20-2:50.

Gear & Stats Build

Both of these builds revolve around using a Regeneration set. A secondary set isn’t required, but Immortal sets or Speed sets always provide great value. Note that if those sets are not an option and you are fine with only using Tomb Lord for FW, you can opt in for the Lifesteal set. However, for solo Dragon 25 runs it doesn’t provide enough HP gain and Regeneration is a requirement.

The lower tier set should aim for approx:

  • 40k hp
  • 3k defense
  • 200 speed
  • 85% crit rate
  • 220 accuracy

The higher tier set should aim for:

  • 50k hp
  • 3.5k def
  • 220 speed (the more the merrier)
  • 85% crit rate
  • 220 accuracy

Recommended Main Stats:

  • Gloves: Crit Rate/DEF%
  • Chest: HP%/DEF%
  • Boots: Speed
  • Ring: DEF/HP
  • Amulet: DEF/HP
  • Banner: Accuracy

When we turn Tomb Lord’s A3 off in the custom AI, we lose his Attack Down move, which means TL is going to take more damage. That’s why we have a significant need for better defensive gear. Going faster allows you to cycle turns faster than the enemies, which means more healing through your Regeneration set.

Just a note, that if you want to use Tomb Lord for Doom Tower, you should increase the Accuracy to and it helps to increase the Resistance if you can manage.

Faction Wars

There are two ways to complete Knight Revenant Faction Wars 21. The easy way is to get Tomb Lord. The hard way is to complete it without him.

Tomb Lord has access to extremely rare abilities for this faction such as Decrease Speed, Decrease DEF, Decrease ATK, TM reduction and Poisons. There are few other champions that can be so key and carry a faction as much as he does. He makes runs on auto much easier for this last stage as well.

Team Build

  1. Tomb Lord is the debuffer and dps.
  2. Skullcrown for wave clears.
  3. Faceless for DPS and Valkyrie sniping.
  4. Sinesha for healing.
  5. Miscreated monster for shields and CC.

This team showcases Tomb Lord’s importance for KR21, not only acting as a debuffer on the waves, but being able to be the primary damage dealer on the boss due to stacking poisons. The next page showcases the solo dungeon runs.

Solo Dragon 25

Tomb Lord is able to solo Dragon 25 with 4 foods, allowing you to efficiently farm gear while leveling up food. There are 2 different builds/strategies that require different levels of gear, with the higher level one being able to beat the dragon faster.

Slow Build

Tomb Lord is in a Regeneration set. Ideally around 200 speed with some defense. 220 accuracy and 85% crit rate or higher are the biggest factors, as we need Tomb Lord to land every Poison he can. Since Tomb Lord’s A3 will reset the TM’s of low HP enemies, the waves can take significantly longer, which will extend the time of the run, but make the run much safer. This build is suggested for lower level players without end game gear.

Fast Build

After the release of the AI patch Tomb Lord’s Dragon 25 runs could be sped up by eliminating the use of his A3. Of course, the consequences of this would mean that the enemies would not have Attack Down, and their TM’s would not be reset constantly, which is a good source of Tomb Lord being able to heal with his Regeneration set. This meant we needed to ramp up Tomb Lord’s defensive capabilities significantly. The final result of this ended up being a solo D25 run between 2:20-2:50 on PC (unlimited FPS), making it a full minute faster than the previous times.

The build is similar to the budget build, although the stats are much more strict. We keep the 220 acc and 85% Crit rate, but we had to crank up the speed to 225, GREATLY increase the HP and the Defense. This is not an easy feat with Tomb Lord’s 980 base defense. The end result is 50k HP, 3.5k def, 225 speed in regeneration. If you have a good selection of regeneration gear, you could potentially drop some defense and add more HP. Speed becomes even more important for the ability to lap the enemies and heal.

Team Dungeon Runs

Fire Knight 20

Tomb Lord is also an amazing Fire Knight champion. His 3-hit A1 with Decrease Speed is arguably one of the top ways to knock the FK’s shield down and keep it down. His a2 allowing him to stack poisons can work well in conjunction with a poison exploder such as Zavia. The a3 with def down and attack down is great for increasing damage on the enemies and preventing them from hitting as hard.

Team Build

A strong team includes Tomb Lord along with Rhazin, 2 coldhearts and a psylar. This comp heavily controlled the waves and the the FK shield making it through the waves completely unscathed. Using 4 champions with multiple-hit A1’s helps when bad AI prevents you from taking the shield down. The two CH’s and rhazin are there for their heavy nuke potential and ability to reset TM’s.

Spider 20

Tomb Lord can be useful in nearly any other area where DEF Down and ATK Down are needed. He doesn’t “attack” using his A3 and places the debuffs instead meaning he can work on any affinity for this purpose. One other area he can be useful is the Spider 20 dungeon in a nuke team.

Team Build

Tomb Lord only needs to be faster than the nukers and open with his Defense down. At least 220 accuracy is recommended as the run will likely fail if Tomb Lord misses the Defense down. The custom AI on the Coldhearts is set to use Heartseeker first which allows the run to be as fast as 10-15 seconds. Royal Guards with Takedown clean up the spiderlings and this makes for safe and fast runs

Doom Tower End Game Build Guide

Tomb Lord can also be used against one of the Hard Doom Tower Bosses, Borgoth the Scarab King. His is able to place multiple debuffs that are relevant against this boss such as AOE Decrease Def, Decrease Atk and Poisons which are also very useful against the waves leading up to the boss and Decrease Speed which complements the Dec TM strategy used against this boss. He can also fully deplete TM when the conditions are met.

We will be using Tomb Lord in a TM Decreasing Strategy. Normally with this strategy, Borgoth will never get to take a turn, so Poison debuffs will be useless but Tomb Lord will be paired with Venomage who can activate those Poisons and the Poison damage goes through Borgoth’s shield allowing to directly burst the crab over time.

Masteries

The exact same masteries as the first section of this guide can be used for Borgoth. The Offense and Support tree masteries are chosen with Giant Slayer as T6.

Gear & Stats Build

Gearing Tomb Lord for Hard DT Bosses will be slightly different since it has a higher stat requirement than Dungeons. Firstly, around 330+ accuracy is required to land debuffs against Stage 100 Hard Scarab King. One benefit of using Tomb Lord is that he also has a 70 Accuracy Aura in Doom Tower, so you can build him with less accuracy if you use him as lead. He still needs to be fast with around 220+ Speed. Then focus on building his 100% Crit Rate so he can apply his Poisons.

There are no specific sets needed for Tomb Lord. You can use any sets as shown in this build with 6 different broken set pieces. The most important piece you need however is at least one Bloodshield Accessory to meet the Shield requirement against Borgoth’s passive Counterattack.

Recommended Main Stats

  • Glove: Crit Rate
  • Chest: HP%/Def%/Atk%/Accuracy
  • Boots: Speed
  • Ring: HP/Def/Atk
  • Amulet: HP/Def/Crit Damage
  • Banner: Accuracy

Note that Tomb Lord only has 270 Accuracy in this screenshot as he will be used as Lead and provide the 70 Accuracy Aura to meet the required 330 Accuracy.

Tomb Lord build for doom tower

Stage 100 Hard Scarab King (Spirit)

Against the Scarab King, Tomb Lord provides the utilities mentioned in the first slide of this page. AOE Decrease Def, Decrease Atk and Poisons to help with the Waves as well as the Boss. He also places Decrease Speed and can fully deplete TM when the condition is met.

Team Build

  1. Venomage can activate Poisons and Decrease the target’s max HP by 75% of damage inflicted if they are under Heal Reduction which he places. Decreasing Max HP is a mechanic needed to break Borgoth’s “Shield” and deal damage to him so you don’t need to equip anyone with a Destroy Set since Venomage does the job.
  2. Alure to constantly decrease the boss’ TM.
  3. Hurndig for AOE damage to help clear the waves and also has a TM depletion.
  4. Jintoro for his single target TM depletion.

Everyone has a Bloodshield accessory so a shield provided is not required in this team. No one is equipped with Destroy Set. Venomage is the only one doing that job with his A1. The run can be faster if you can also gear any of the champion in Destroy set.

Tomb Lord scarab king

Nether Spider

Tomb Lord can also be used against the Nether Spider because of his ability to “place” Attack down and Defense down without procing the counter attack on the spiderlings. His speed down and 3-hit A1 along with his poisons on A2 help slow the spider down and do decent damage.

Team Build

In this comp, 3 heavy support champs are used in conjunction with drexthar and tomb lord to keep those two alive to do damage.

  1. Drexthar provides AOE HP Burn without triggering any counterattacks
  2. Scyl provides passive healing and revive
  3. Riho heals and removes the debuffs from allies
  4. Doompriest removes the Poisons and has some passive healing
