Raid Shadow Legends: Thea the Tomb Angel Champion Guide

Thea the Tomb Angel is a legendary force affinity champion from the knights revenant faction in Raid Shadow Legends. For a long time this champion was considered a vault champ and was never really used in Raid. However, she was recently buffed, seeign an improvement in her base speed and she no longer consumes hex debuffs. Thea’s best ability is that her A2, which is a massive AOE attack, dealing high damage and scaling based on the number of hex debuffs the opponent has on them. This makes her perfect for nuking in the arena, provided you can efficiently apply hex to the opponent.

Thea the Tomb Angel End Game Build Guide

Thea is a guaranteed champion you can acquire only by completing the Hard Doom Tower Secret Rooms. She is a damage dealer first and foremost and is considered an average legendary due to the following factors:

  1. Her damage multipliers are not that high without Hex on the enemies
  2. AOE Hex requires setup including other champions to place it
  3. Thea is Force Affinity and will weak hit against Spirit Affinity champions

Together, this means the investment of champions, books and gear required to make her good is quite high compared to meta alternatives such as Seer wave clears or Poison explosion teams for PVE and meta DPS champions such as Trunda or Candraphon for PVP.

If you do like her kick-ass in game model and would like to embark on a project to use her though, you’re in the right place! In this case invest the books into her A2 until you get the lowered cooldown of her nuke. Booking her A3 that allows her to take extra turns and effectively lowering the nuke cooldown is a good option as well if the fights drag on.

Masteries

As a damage dealer, the standard branch of Attack masteries to the Helmsmasher is suitable for her. In Late Game+ it’s almost a given you’re crit capped (100% Crit Rate) and 250+ Crit Damage. On the Support tree, we select all the talents that give Accuracy, since Thea’s passive can impose the Fear debuff when the damage exceeds 30% of enemy health.

Gear & Stats Build

The task of Thea is to deal damage. The the best options for that are Savage and Lethality Sets with Cruel off-set artifacts. However, you can use Perception for extra Accuracy. If you would like to replicate the one-shot potential featured in this guide around 220 Speed, 5k+ Attack, 250 Crit Damage and 250 Accuracy are recommended.

Recommended Main Stats

  • Gloves: Critical damage
  • Chest: Attack%
  • Boots: Speed
  • Ring: Attack
  • Amulet – Critical damage with Accuracy sub stats
  • Banner – Attack

Arena Team & Strategy

Thea performs well enough in the arena as a damage dealer in the right circumstances. For maximum effectiveness, the team should have a Hex debuff champion. For example:

  • Kymar lead in Stoneskin for stripping buffs, Skill reset and Sleep CC.
  • Mithrala in Immunity type set for the AOE Hex debuff and Attack Up.
  • Ramantu in Immunity type set for placing a Block Active/Passive Skills debuff.
  • Thea as a dps in Savage/Lethal set.

Thea doesn’t need a Decrease DEF debuff to deal a lot of damage. Naturally a team that could also apply it would allow her to deal even more damage.

Another example you could use against fast opponents:

  • Arbiter for Turn Meter boost.
  • Ruel the Huntmaster for Hex debuff and Accuracy buff.
  • Kymar for stripping buffs.
  • Thea as a dps.

It should be noted that Spirit affinity champions are common at the Platinum level with Duchess being one of the primarily used ones.

Dragon Dungeon Team & Strategy

On Dungeon waves 24-25 teams with Thea are inferior in efficiency to teams with Seer or Poison bursts. However, she can be used on Dragon 20 for fun. For a quick run, you can use the following team:

  • Thea for DPS.
  • Mithrala for AOE Hex debuff and Attack increase buff.
  • Lydia for AOE Decrease Defense debuff and Weaken (it can be replaced with any similar champion).
  • Renegade to decreases the cooldown of ally skills.
  • Royal Guard or Coldheart to deal with the boss using MAX HP damage.

Thea quickly passes the waves thanks to the debuffs on the enemies, and then the Royal Guard deals with the Dragon.

Floor 113 Doom Tower Team & Strategy

Thea with Mithrala as a Hex enabler can be useful for clearing waves quickly. Although this strategy is not as efficient and versatile as the team with the Seer or the teams based on the poison burst, it shows a good enough result at the expense of huge damage. Note that spirit enemies can be a problem for this team, and Thea needs to have high crit rate, crit damage, and attack for this to work.

  • Lydia for AOE Decrease Defense, Weaken and buffs. Can be replaced with Dracomorph, Venus and others.
  • Mithrala for Hex, Attack Up and Cleanse.
  • Thea as a damage dealer to nuke the waves.
  • Kymar for Skill reset (Yumeko and Renegade are alternatives).
  • Psylar for the Initial AOE TM reduction and Decrease Speed. A fast Psylar can help the rest of the team be built with less speed. Can be replaced with any of the skill reset champion if your stats are good on the rest of the team. If you would like a budget alternative CC such as Maulie, Visix and Mashalled are alternative options.
