Runekeeper Dazdurk Mid Game Build Guide

Runekeeper is a solid epic that can be used almost anywhere in the game. If you are lucky enough to obtain him you can build him in multiple ways.

A1 can place Leech debuff and this allows your champions to survive in mid-game even without the lifesteal sets on Clan Boss and in dungeons. A2 provides a Turn Meter boost and A3 provides healing based on his MAX HP as well as full debuff removal. Solid kit and worth spending books on as the investment is worth it. In this build guide we’ll be focusing on Clan Boss and dungeons-15 as the main goals of mid-game.

Masteries

Using a champion in CB almost automatically means Warmaster (or GS) is the choice of T6 mastery and Runekeeper is no exception. Standard masteries on the offence tree with crit rate, crit damage on the way to WM. This build utilises the support tree masteries that provide additional healing and increase the buff duration, turn meter boosting and Sniper to increase the base chance of placing debuffs.

Gear & Stats Build

Runekeeper has a high base speed, HP and DEF and he heals allies of his MAX HP, so we want him to maximise those stats for the mid-game.

For dungeons 15 you usually need around 150 accuracy and as much of other stats as you can get. You can use the following set combinations: 2x SPD sets + 1 immortal set for dungeons OR 2x SPD sets + 1 ACC set for clan boss if you lack lifesteal sets in your team.

Clan Boss Team & Strategy

Runekeeper is a good healer and cleanser for any stage of the game. In Clan boss his strong heal and leech on A1. Note that none of the champions have lifesteal. The team composition is as follows:

  1. Tayrel for DEF Down and Atk Down debuff on A1
  2. Frozen Banshee for Poison debuffs
  3. Longbeard for Ally attack and Weaken debuff
  4. Grizzled Jarl for Def UP buff and block debuffs. The buff increases the survivability and damage of DEF based champions.

If you are lacking Accuracy you can place Frozen Banshee as your CB lead. Alternatively Tayrel with DEF Aura can be used.

Mid Game Dungeon Runs

Minotaur 15

Runekeeper is a good choice for your Core team throughout the game. This team can be used essentially in all the dungeons. The first dungeon to tackle before others is Minotaur 15 as the T6 masteries for your Core team are the gateway to better Clan Boss damage and dungeon farming.

The waves and the boss are forgiving, but you still need to have a decent team composition and gear to take it to the end. An example composition would be as follows:

  1. Runekeeper can be helpful with his kit by providing healing, removing the debuffs and providing extra healing by applying leech to targets.
  2. Tayrel provides DEF Aura, AOE DEF Down.
  3. Royal Hunstman is a damage dealer (can be replaces with your starter for example).
  4. Dhukk can deal decent damage and increase survivability with AOE ATK Down debuff.
  5. Grizzled Jarl can also work well in this team thanks to DEF UP buff that increases the damage for the DEF based champions.

Dragon 16

On dragon 16 Runekeeper is useful for TM increase + leech. In this composition only Jarl and Frozen Banshee are in life steal and the healing is sorely needed to survive. Cleansing the debuffs from the waves and boss (Decrease Atk/Weaken/Poision) and healing is important.

An example composition would be as follows:

  1. Dhukk provides Decrease Atk for waves, and this enables Tayrel to case the Sleep deubff on all enemies.
  2. Tayrel provides AOE Decrease DEF. Reliable Decrease ATK on boss is always welcome.
  3. Grizzled Jarl has increase DEF buff that increase dmg of the whole team except Frozen Banshee as they are DEF based. Block debuffs sometimes helps avoid debuffs.
  4. Frozen banshee is the MVP on the boss itself as the Poisons are the most accessible way to DPS Dragon boss stage.

Ice golem 15

Ice golem 15 is yet another area where Runekeeper is useful as cleansing for Freeze and other debuffs in this dungeon is most welcome. Mass healing allows to survive damage from the waves and the boss especially in this case where the featured composition is negative affinity towards the boss.

An example composition would be as follows:

  1. Tayrel used for his aura and decrease ATK.
  2. Dhukk for AOE decrease DEF and ATK on waves as well as Provoke on minions. Chance to decrease ACC on boss on A1 can also be helpful.
  3. Huntsman was the nuker for faster wave clears and instakill one of the minions with dead aim. Positive affinity to place decrease DEF on this stage.
  4. Grizlled jarl for Increase DEF and block debuffs vs freeze.
