Raid Shadow Legends: Rae Champion Guide

Rae is a legendary magic affinity champion from the dark elves faction in Raid Shadow Legends. This champion provides awesome utility, including AOE freeze, AOE drop defence, AOE clean buff and high hitting AOE damage. She is among the hardest hitting champions in Raid, capable of dealing immense levels of damage to opponents. This makes her great at a wide variety of content including dungeons, arena and faction wars. Investing in upgrades is essential, focus on building her fast with good accuracy to ensure her abilities land, crit rate and crit damage are also important to maximise damage potential.

Rae End Game Build guide

Rae is a very powerful Legendary from the Dark Elves faction. She can be build in multiple different ways (damage dealer, buff remover, crowd control) thanks to her versatile kit and one of the highest conditional damage potential. This guide will focus on her use as a damage dealer for different locations such as Arena and other PvE locations such as NM Campaign, FW, and dungeons.

Skills

Rae kit has 3 AoE skills. Her A1 has a 50% chance to place a Decrease Defense, although this is not a reliable Decrease Defense skill it can be useful. Her A2 deals 50% more damage when enemies are under debuffs. This is one of the hardest hitting skills in the game. Her A3 removes all buffs and has a 70% chance to place a Freeze debuff. These abilities make her viable as a pure damage dealer, a buff remover and somewhat a crowd controler as her A3 has a long cooldown.

If you are using her heavily consider booking her fully for the late game+ content.

Masteries

Masteries reflects her role as a damage dealer with some solo NM campaign farming in mind : Offense and Support trees were picked. Offense tree offers damage boosting masteries into the T6 Helmsmasher, important for a damage dealer as long as you’re over 220+ Crit Damage. Whirlwind of Death and Cycle of Violence for the extra speed and cooldown reduction are also useful in a solo farming scenario. Support tree offers some accuracy for her very useful debuffs with Spirit Haste being another useful masteries for extra speed in a farming situation.

If you want to use her to her max potential with a Kymar, Opportunist might be an interesting mastery. If she is used with Gurptuk, Stoked to Fury provides a significant damage boost making her masteries flexible.

Gear & Stats Build

For a damage dealing build, usually, Savage or Lethal are the best sets. Secondary sets can be Cruel, Crit Damage or even Speed/Perception. Immunity is also a possibility for Arena: Rae has very high base Defense, and she is easier to protect against a nuke Hegemon than other nukers like Foli.

Aim for 5k Attack, 100% Crit Rate and 250% Crit Damage. Speed would depend on your Arena booster, else aim for 200+ speed to be comfortable in PvE. Accuracy can be good to have, 200 Accuracy should be enough for dungeons.

Recommended Main Stats

The Rae showcased has Crit Rate gloves, which is fine if you can get enough Crit Damage from subs, but usually you want :

  • Gloves: Crit Damage
  • Chest: Atk%
  • Boots: Atk%/Speed
  • Ring: Atk
  • Amulet: Crit Damage
  • Banner: Atk/Acc

For accessories, Rae can benefit from Refresh or Reaction accessories but she can do fine without.

Rae build

Arena with Rae

The reason why the Bateater composition has become so popular is the potential to reach one key on any major CB on any affinity. Draco composition is the easiest to gear for 1 key as you don’t need anyone in toxic sets. He can keep the full debuffs slots capped with Poisons.

While she does not allow for a fast farm like Trunda (10-30s), she can still do it under a minute against tanky champions like Ursuga.

Regular Speed Teams

This team can take on regular speed teams. Hegemon opens with A1 + Eagle Eye, Arbiter boost, Warlord puts skills on cooldown and Rae nukes. These teams are usually weak enough so you don’t need Decrease Defense.

For Slow Hegemon Teams

This team can take on slow Hegemon teams without Warlord. Shaman in Immunity to cleanse, Kymar removes buffs and resets skills (very useful in the current meta), Duchess in Shield set to provide protection and Increase Attack. Rae nukes

For Slow teams that rely on Reaction

  • Kymar
  • Duchess
  • Gurptuk
  • Rae

This team can take on slow teams that rely on Reaction. Kymar removes buffs and sleeps the enemies, Duchess in shield set to provide protection against Candraphon and provides Increase Attack, Gurptuk for Block Buffs to counter Swift Parry and boosts damage, Rae nukes. Reset if needed.

Rae is particularly vulnerable to teams that have metagame Force champions on defence such as Candraphon. Those teams should be approached with caution.

Rae Dungeon Runs

Dark Elves 21

Dark Elves stage 21 has a Black Knight on first wave and the dreaded Valkyries on wave 2. Having Rae will ensure that, at least, you are not locked in a TM reduction loop on an Unkillable enemy. Her A3 can be very useful overall against the various Counter Attack buffs, or just as a CC skill.

Team Build

The team used with her also helps controlling waves :

  • Psylar in Stun set provides Speed aura, TM decrease, Decrease Accuracy.
  • Visix provides Provoke and Ally Protection.
  • Lydia provides Decrease Defense, Weaken, Strengthen and Increase Speed.
  • Coldheart adds extra TM depletion on her Enemy MAX HP nuke.
  • Rae brings general damage

Dragon 20-25

Due to the big gap between dungeons stage 25 and 20, damage dealers like Rae are nothing close to Seer in the Late Game+ for speed running. However, Rae is perfectly fine to one shot waves even without Increase Attack.

Team Build

This team is more of a fun build than a real practical team for farming as stages 24 and 25 are much better.

  • Rae provides a huge Speed aura for Dungeons, and enough damage to kill waves quickly.
  • Gomlok provides Decrease Defense and Weaken.
  • Kymar resets.
  • Coldhearts provide MAX HP nuke

It is perfectly possible to replace Kymar with a renegade and Gomlock with another AOE Def Down champion to speed farm Dragon 20 with Rae

rae dragon 20

Ice Golem 20

Similarly to Dragon 20, Rae can also one shot waves on Ice Golem 20. The team relies on Urogrim to kill the boss with his poisons so everyone else just mainly helps the wave clearing.

Team Build

  • Ghostborn places Decrease Defense and Increase Attack.
  • Rae for general damage and Speed aura.
  • Kymar resets.
  • Urogrim for Healing and Poison
