Raid Shadow Legends: Marksman Champion Guide

Marksman is an epic spirit affinity champion from the high elves faction in Raid Shadow Legends. He is generally not a very strong champion to have or use in Raid. With very limited viability at any stage of account progression from early to end game. It would be advised to opt for better champions and not waste any time or resources developing Marksman. However, we will still include an example build setup for any of those who choose to incorporate Marksman into their raiding teams. His most viable areas include Arena, Clan Boss and Dungeon Raids, which will be covered in this guide.

Marksman Skills Overview

Venom Arrow

A1: Venom Arrow

Attacks 1 enemy. Places a 5% [Poison] debuff for 2 turns if the attack is critical. Has a 25% chance of granting an Extra Turn.

Upgrades as follows:

  • Level 2: Damage +5%
  • Level 3: Damage +5%
  • Level 4: Damage +10%
  • Level 5: Buff/Debuff Chance +5%
Impressive Shot

A2: Impressive Shot

Attacks 1 enemy. Fills the Turn Meter of all allies by 20%. Has an extra 25% chance of inflicting a critical hit.

Upgrades as follows:

  • Level 2: Damage +5%
  • Level 3: Damage +5%
  • Level 4: Damage +10%
  • Level 5: Cooldown -1
Thorns

A3: Thorns

Attacks 4 times at random. Each hit has a 35% chance to ignore DEF.

Upgrades as follows:

  • Level 2: Damage +15%
  • Level 3: Damage +15%
  • Level 4: Buff/Debuff Chance +10%
  • Level 5: Cooldown -1

Marksman Late Game Build Guide

Marksman is champion with good potential but still an underrated champion in Raid. After the latest rebalance, he now boasts a 20% speed aura in Arena, and an increase to his base speed to 98. In combination with his A2 that fills the allies turn meter by 20% he can fit the role of a TM booster in fast teams. His 5% Poison debuff on A1 and a 30% chance to get an extra turn can be quite strong for Clan Boss and PvE content.

Using Marksman effectively both in the Arena and in PVE content is difficult due to different requirements for gear and general availability of other metagame options. In this guide, Marksman is presented as a universal champion for your consideration.

Masteries

For best results on CB Warmaster T6 mastery is the number one choice. Single Out from the Offense branch and other damage increasing masteries are selected. Support branch with Master Hexer to extend the duration of Poisons may be a good choice. Arcana Celerity mastery is good option too as it will help you increase your TM and go more often.

Usually TM increasing masteries are not allowed because it messes with the team’s strict turn rotation on CB. Marksman is precluded from strict Unkillable and CA teams due to his A1, with the exception of a select few compositions. He is featured in a standard old-fashioned Speed-based CB team that doesn’t place restrictions.

Gear & Stats Build

Lifesteal set is a classical PVE option to pair with Warmaster. Any other secondary set can be used to get the necessary stats, in this case Speed. Perception is another popular option to reach the required Accuracy required. Our main goal is to get him close to 100% Crit Rate so that he can always apply a Poison debuff with A1 and accuracy for PvE should be around 220+.

The rest of the stats are up to you, the speed should meet your requirements in the arena, and health and survival on the Clan Boss.

Recommended Main Stats

  • Gloves – HP%/ DEF% if you have collected around 100% of the Сrit rate in the additional parameters, if not – better take gloves with Crit rate main stat.
  • Chest – HP%/ DEF%.
  • Boots – Speed.
  • Ring – HP/ DEF.
  • Amulet – HP/ DEF.
  • Banner – Accuracy/ HP/ DEF/.

It is worthy of note that having low HP and DEF will prevent Marksman and this team composition from 1 keying UNM. However, he is more than sufficient for earlier stages of CB.

Clan Boss Team & Strategy

The team for the Сlan Boss will be a speed team. For this, we need champions with an Increase Speed buff, TM boosts and Speed aura. The main task is to take turns as often as possible and deal damage to the boss fast before he becomes too powerful. Here is an example composition NM Clan Boss for 2 keys for the last chest:

  1. Tayrel for Decrease DEF + Decrease ATK.
  2. Apothecary for SPD buff and TM boost.
  3. Sandlashed Survivor for increasing the duration of SPD buff and increasing survivability thanks to her passive skill.
  4. Fayne for dps, Poisons, Decrease DEF and Weaken debuff.
  5. Marksman for Poisons dps.

Dungeon Runs Strategy

Dragon 20

Marksman is champion with Spirit affinity and doesn’t fit well on the 20th floor of the Dragons dungeon. However, in general, thanks to his Poisons debuffs he well help to kill the Dragon faster and his A2 with TM boost will help our team move more times on the waves. Here is an example composition for Dragon 20:

  1. Tayrel for AOE Decrease DEF debuff and also Decrease target АТК debuff and some dps.
  2. Apothecary for Increase SPD buff, tm boost and healing.
  3. Warmaiden for AOE Decrease DEF debuff.
  4. Marksman for quickly killing the Dragon with Poisons and tm boost.
  5. Broadmaw for revive and useful buffs.

Ice Golem 20

Marksman in the Ice Golem dungeon help team with Poisons debuffs to kill the Ice Golem faster and his A2 with TM boost will help the team take more turns on the waves. Here is an example composition for Ice Golem 20:

  1. Tayrel for AOE Decrease DEF debuff and also Decrease target АТК debuff and some dps.
  2. Apothecary for Increase SPD buff, tm boost and healing.
  3. Mausoleum Mage for Block Debuffs buff and removes debuffs plus healing.
  4. Marksman for quickly killing the Boss with Poisons and tm boost.
  5. Broadmaw for revive and useful buffs.

Fire Knight 20

Marksman in the Fire Knight dungeon will help team with multihits on his A3 and high chance to additional turn in A1 to down boss shield faster. His A2 with TM boost will help our team move more times on the waves and Boss itself. Here is an example composition for Fire Knight 20:

  1. Tayrel for AOE Decrease DEF debuff and also Decrease target АТК debuff and some dps.
  2. Apothecary for Increase SPD buff, tm boost and healing.
  3. Armiger to Decrease the turn meter and quickly killing the Boss with MAX HP skill.
  4. Marksman for multihits on A3 and tm boost.
  5. Broadmaw for revive and useful buffs.

Arena Team & Strategy

After the latest rebalance, Marksman now has an 20% speed aura in Arena, and an increase base speed to 98. In combination with his A2 that fills the allies turn meter by 20% he can be a promising tm booster in fast teams. Since our build does not intend to make Marksman a tm booster, but is aimed at widespread use, we will use him as a secondary tm booster with good Arena aura. Here is an example composition for Gold 5:

  1. Seeker for 1st tm boost and Increase ATK buff.
  2. Marksman for 2nd tm boost.
  3. Deacon Armstrong for 3th tm boost and AOE Decrease DEF debuff.
  4. Genbo the Dishonored for dps.
