Lydia End Game Guide

Lydia is considered one of the best champions in the game and can be built to work in any content. She is unique and can only be acquired by completing Faction Wars.

Skills

Lyda is worth fully booking. Her A1 applies Fear and she can retaliate when allies get debuffed. Her A2 not only places AOE Decrease Defence and Weaken on all enemies, but it also grants Strengthen and Increase Speed to allies making Lydia perfect with Seer for speed runs. A3 can be handy to lock out some problematic champions with Block Active Skills and Block Buffs. Finally her passive allows her to be viable against revives and to be used in Arena.

In this PVE build the masteries have been chosen with PvE dungeons and Doom Tower in mind. CB and PVP oriented Lydia builds may differ.

Masteries

Offence tree has been chosen with the standard picks heading down to Warmaster for this build. Warmaster is especially good for the Dungeons 21-25 and Doom Tower bosses as the standard enemy max HP nukes alone are capped at 10% vs bosses, so any extra damage is handy. Warmaster is realistically the only mandatory mastery on this tree with the other options being up to user preference depending on extra Accuracy needs for Doom tower or damage heavy for dungeons.

Support tree – There is a wider range of options for this tree when it comes to Lydia. Accuracy boosting masteries accompanied by Arcane Celerity for extra TM boosts and Evil Eye to decrease enemy turn meter are good options. Lasting gifts has not been selected because Lydia is often accompanied by Seer making the mastery redundant. Lore of steel is just a nice bonus but not mandatory. In this build Lydia uses perception sets and the bonus works nicely.

If you are not using an aggressive Seer speed clear team, Lasting Gifts mastery can be a great option for survival. With this mastery set Lydia is utilised as a support unit with some extra damage on the side from Warmaster. It is perfectly feasible to build Lydia with attack and crit and lower accuracy if you are using her only for dungeons.

Gear & Stats Build

The best sets for Lydia in PvE content include Perception that is readily available from the Forge. With the built in bonuses to Accuracy and Speed, it should make reaching decent levels relatively easy.

Around 250+ speed and 400/450 Accuracy to cover most Doom Tower content is needed. 250 Accuracy would be sufficient for dungeons only. With the rest of the slots any extra Hp/Defence/Resistance is great. If you can reach 400+ in both Accuracy and Resistance for Doom Tower that will put your Lydia in a decent position.

Attack and Crit rate are not really needed if you pair her with Seer, but if you can squeeze it in addition to the above stats, that will provide a nice bonus to the speed of your runs.

Recommended Main Stats

The main stat priorities for Lydia are going to be as follows:

  • Glove: HP%/Def%
  • Chest: HP%/Accuracy
  • Boots: Speed
  • Ring: HP%/Def%
  • Amulet: HP/Def with Accuracy/Resist substats
  • Banner: Accuracy

Faction Wars

Lydia is great for faction wars, though you need to have cleared all stages to obtain her she can help speed run it. She helps provide protection for farm 21 and brings Decrease Defence/Weaken to help clear the valkyrie waves quickly.

Team Build

  1. Lydia the Death Siren – Decrease Defence/Weaken, Increase Speed/Strengthen.
  2. Psylar – TM control, decrease accuracy for boss.
  3. Rae – DPS.
  4. Painkeeper – heals and cooldown reduction.
  5. Coldheart – DPS/TM control.

Lydia Dungeon Runs

Spider 20

Lydia is an incredibly versatile champion for dungeons and staple part of many teams. Lydia provides the 2 common debuffs used in enemy max hp speed clear teams for spider 20 speed runs: Weaken and Decrease defence. The only possible drawback here is the 3% to be resisted. If your champions are tanky enough and fast enough they may survive cycling through again to kill the spider if Lydia gets one of her debuffs resisted, but this will result in a lot longer of a run than failing.

Otherwise she is a reliable champion to use in this area of the game, especially being void affinity she can be used on any of the spider stages. She is best used up to stage 20 as at 21+ the enemy max HP builds fall off and HP burn/tm control builds reign supreme.

Standard dungeon Acc required is 220-250. Speed above 150 is fine as long as she goes before your enemy max HP nukers. Ideally Lydia goes second to capture more of the spiderlings with the debuffs especially if you have taken the kill x spiderlings clan quest.

Team Build

  1. Lydia for Decrease Defence and Weaken to maximise damage vs boss.
  2. Gurptuk Mossbeard to further maximise damage via his passive.
  3. Coldheart for enemy max HP nuke and TM control.
  4. Coldheart for enemy max HP nuke and TM control.
  5. Royal Guard for enemy max HP nuke and killing spiderlings.

Dragon 20

By the time you get Lydia you are more than likely to already speed run the Dragon dungeon. However, you can now do it faster and more realiably as she enables higher damage via Decrease Defence and Weaken for the DPS Coldhearts and Royal guard as well as some extra mitigation with Strengthen and a speed boost.

Team Build

  1. Arbiter – Attack up and TM boost (revive if something goes wrong).
  2. Lydia – Decrease defence and weaken, increase speed and strengthen buffs.
  3. Coldheart x 2 – Wave DPS and boss DPS with Heartseeker.
  4. Royal Guard – Wave DPS and boss DPS with Takedown, also decrease speed and tm drop randomly on A3 (often overlooked)

Dragon 25

Seer compositions with Lydia are the prime draw of using her in dungeons for speed run on stages 21+.

Lydia enables Seer to easily clear the waves with extra damage from Bad El Kazars passive (not required). As damage is capped, on dungeon bosses stage 21+ poison is a very strong contender for the content on those stages, hence the presence of tomb lord and BEK.

Team Build

  1. Lydia the Death Siren – Provides Decrease Defence and Weaken as well as 2 buffs for seer.
  2. Seer – Wave DPS and additional boss DPS.
  3. Renegade – To reset skills for wave 2.
  4. Bad El Kazar – Extra damage from passive and poison for boss.
  5. Tomblord – Poison damage and Giant slayer procs for boss.

Fire Knight 20

For Fire Knight 20 you could use some MAX HP damage dealers, however, Royal Guard is the weak affinity here. Coldhearts are perfectly usable as all their skills are tailor made for the FK dungeon. Lydia enables Seer to clear the waves quickly with Decrease Defence and Weaken, whilst providing buffs for Karma Burn here. Lydia is one of the few champions with these debuffs on one skill and the only one with both and buffs in one skill. Once at the boss the main stars here are Alure and Ninja to dps/control the boss.

Team Build

  1. Lydia the Death Siren – Decrease Defence and Weaken debuffs, Strengthen and Increase Speed buffs for Seer.
  2. Alure – Decrease TM on A1 multi hit to prevent the fireknight from taking a turn.
  3. Seer – Fast wave clear via Karma burn.
  4. Renegade – Reset for wave 2.
  5. Ninja – Boss DPS (other DPS work fine, Ninja is just rather quick).

Fire Knight 25

Lydia is one of the best partners to pair Seer with due to the value of her A2 placing both necessary debuffs and two strong buffs. If the run goes as planned Lydia should open with her A3 on the boss leaving her A1 (Evil Eye) ready for when the shield is depleted. As long as both debuffs land, the waves should be clear very quickly leaving just the battle of chipping away the bosses HP.

Lydia brings the best combination possible of Decrease Defence and Weaken and Strengthen/Increase Speed to enable Seer for fast wave clear. She is hands down one of the best for this role.

Team Build

  1. Alure for TM reduction (With Giant Slayer).
  2. Lydia for defence down/Weaken and seer enabling buffs.
  3. Seer for quick wave clear (high crit damage and savage needed/highly recommended).
  4. Renegade to reduce the cooldowns on wave 2 for quicker wave clear and arrival at boss.
  5. Blind Seer to bring safety to the run should Lydia get 3%ed resulting in a loss of a champion/boss taking a turn from the desync. (plus she brings more buffs for seer lowering the stat requirements).

Ice Golem 20

Lydia enables Seer on Ice Golem 20 via bringing Decrease Defence and Weaken, as well as Strengthen and Increase Speed for Karma Burn. Lydia also prevents the first revival of the minions which is rather useful when using risky DPS like Royal guard. Standard Seer composition with Royal guard for extra boss damage. Tomblord helps mitigate the risk of a wipe from frigid vengeance (stag knight can also work for this role)

Team Build

  1. Lydia the Death Siren – Decrease defence and weaken, increase speed/strengthen for karma burn.
  2. Seer – Fast wave clear.
  3. Renegade – reset for wave 2.
  4. Royal Guard – Boss DPS, Decrease Speed.
  5. Tomblord – Decrease Attack for boss and Poisons.
lydia ice golem 20

Ice Golem 25

Lydia once again pairs very well with Seer here but with an added bonus. That’s right, Lydia’s passive will deny those pesky adds from being resurrected the first time the Ice golem uses Frigid Vengeance and subsequent times when it is off cooldown. This is a great boon for speed clearing as it reduces the risk of accidental/wipe death of triggering two frigid vengeance in a row and if any of your team dies from the first frigid vengeance, her passive will resurrect those team mates when denying the revive of the bosses minions.

Special note here – Lydia’s passive does not count towards the block revive on the ice golems minions clan quest as it is considered a denial of revive, not a block revive debuff/function. This can also cause block revives set by champions such as Fenax or Rotos to cease working after the denial is triggered, meaning they can be revived once again.

Using the Seer wave clear the adds are wiped very quickly, however in other compositions once again the A2 is absolutely amazing.

Team Build

  1. Lydia for Decrease Defence and Weaken to maximise damage vs boss/waves and enabling Seer.
  2. Bad El Kazar to increase Seer’s damage on waves and can solo IG in case of an emergency via poison damage.
  3. Renegade to reduce the cooldowns on wave 2 for quicker clear and arrival at boss.
  4. Seer for quick wave clear.
  5. Blind seer for safety and more buffs enabling seer. (alternatively you could bring another DPS here to speed it up like Royal Guard, but this comes with it’s own additional risk with frigid vengeance).
