Raid Shadow Legends: Jareg Champion Guide

Jareg is an epic magic affinity champion from the lizard men faction in Raid Shadow Legends. This champion is great for clan boss, due to his ability to decrease attack, which is particularly impressive when paired with a champion that can apply an ally protection ability. He also features an impressive increase defence and passive heal ability. Jareg can be used at a variety of content efficiently, including clan boss, spider, ice golem and doom tower. This guide will include information about stats and skills for this champion. Followed by a late game setup of Jareg’s masteries and gear.

Jareg Late Game Guide

Jareg is primarily a support and utility champion. While he holds a spot in traditional clan boss teams due to having Atk Down, Def Up and his passive with Warmaster as the T6 mastery, this build is focused on his role in the Doom Tower hard bosses.

We disable Jareg’s A2 in the AI presets on the Griffin and other Doom Tower bosses as he will die if he uses ally protection in the types of teams he’s featured here. Multiple bosses hit around the 20% threshold and trigger his passive. We focus on Accuracy to make sure his Decrease Attack doesn’t get resisted.

Masteries

We take defensive masteries for a Counter Attack to get extra chances at the Decrease Attack and to reduce incoming damage. All of the mastery choices for Jareg are aimed at keeping him alive OR ensuring Decrease Attack stays up on the boss. For this reason, Eagle Eye (+50 Accuracy) is recommended as the final mastery for the Doom Tower bosses.

However, you could also take Unshakable that provides +50 Resistance if you use him for Bommal or Eternal Dragon provided you can reach the required Accuracy levels

Gear & Stats Build

Speed, HP and Accuracy are the main focus for Jareg in this build. The sets don’t matter that much and you can use any combination that allows you to reach the right thresholds for the stats you need. Around 200-220 Speed is required for the bosses not to lap your team. After this, you need accuracy and resistance. The amount you want depends on the boss.

Griffin 110 Hard DT is the lowest one on Resistance requirements standing only at 280, and about 370 Accuracy. Eternal Dragon is about 360 Accuracy as well, and requires about 400 Resist. Bommal needs at least 490 Resistance to resist the bombs consistently if you keep him under constant Decrease Accuracy. 560 to get to 3% chance and Jareg needs about 360 Accuracy to reliably land debuffs at the highest level.

Being able to tank bigger hits so that the passive triggers and heals is important, as opposed to taking smaller hits and the passive not procing at all.

Doom Tower Guide

Jareg is usable for most Doom Tower bosses providing a strong healing output including Celestial Griffin, Eternal Dragon as the main ones and Frost Spider, Bommal and Magma Dragon as a utility champion.

Be aware that Jareg’s A2 is an ally protect, and as you will need a mixture of high Accuracy/Resistance depending on the boss you are facing, he can just die if you’re not careful taking damage for the team. If built correctly, Jareg can help the team survive on griffin having the maximum 20 stacks of his buffs, so Griffin was taking turns fast, and hitting very hard, but with the sustain of the 4 champions, it was a safe, albeit a slow run.

Celestial Griffin Build

The team used for Celestial Griffin is mainly just very tanky health based healers. While at the end it almost resulted in a wipe, it should be able to get you over the finish lines on a budget.

  1. Vrask – Heals on counter attacks and normal attacks, keeps everyone topped.
  2. Doompriest – Constantly cleanses debuffs and constantly heals.
  3. Scyl – Primarily used for healing aswell, although provides a safety revive.
  4. Jareg – His passive heals and keeps everyone alive in later stages when the boss hits hard.
  5. Drex – Our damage dealer, you want someone tanky in this role as we tank the griffin, not kill him instantly.
