Raid Shadow Legends: Ignatius Champion Guide

Ignatius is a legendary magic affinity champion from the ogryn tribes faction in Raid Shadow Legends. He was one of the first champions in Raid to make use of the AOE hp burn effectively in Spider dungeon runs. Allowing teams to consistently clear this dungeon. While other hp burn champions may be favoured now over Ignatius, he is still frequently used in many spider team compositions, along with other battles. He is a versatile champion with applications in a number of different areas including Doom Tower, Arena, campaign farming and more.

Ignatius End Game Build Guide

Ignatius is currently the only legendary champion that has an AOE HP burn that can’t be resisted. This makes him the best in slot character to deal with with Frost Spider in Doom Tower.

Masteries

Offense and defence trees were selected. The idea is to make your Ignatius as tanky as possible, with the ability to counter attack with the Retribution mastery. Like with most dungeon champions builds, Warmaster was selected T6 mastery due to the sheer size of Frost Spider HP pool, no other mastery comes even close in terms of damage potential as Warmaster.

Warmaster and Retribution are key for sustain on the Ignatius, due to the fact that you will be running him in Life Steal gear. Accuracy is not needed so there is little value in the support tree in this specific scenario.

Gear & Stats Build

Keep in mind that if you use Ignatius in a team with lots of healing, AOE damage reduction (e.g. Lilitu, Norog), Resistance Auras you can get away with less stats than in this build. Life Steal set would work best for DT along with 2 broken set pieces that give the crucial sub stats, specifically crit rate, speed and resistance. If there are pieces from 2 set gear sets that can be used (speed, immortal, defence, etc.) go ahead and use it instead of broken sets.

In order for your Ignatius to be successful you will need lots of resistance, preferably as close to 400 as possible or more if you can. When it comes to other stats, you want to have at least 4k DEF as well as ~40K HP, in the case of Ignatius, since he will be the only source of damage, in order to deal with the waves effectively you will need to run crit damage gloves on him as well as crit damage necklace.

His speed should be around 200, just like with any champion it is preferable to cap the crit rate or be as close to 100% as possible.

Recommended Main Stats

  • Glove: Crit Damage % / Crit Rate %
  • Chest: Def% / Resistance
  • Boots: Speed
  • Ring: Def
  • Amulet: Def
  • Banner: Resistance

Frozen Spider Boss Strategy

It is important to have a support champion with revive that can guide Ignatius through the waves, especially wave 2 that has a very difficult group that it is almost impossible to solo through. The key on the support champion is to have more HP than Ignatius once they both make it to the Boss, support champion will just die and Ignatius will do the job.

The Frozen Spider boss and the spiderlings on hard DT have a huge health pool that allows AOE HP burn to deal damage fast and efficiently. This setup allows Ignatius to feel extremely comfortable in other content, such as Ice Golem 20, Nightmare Campaign Farming and solo Minotaur among others.

However, building such a strong Ignatius comes with one drawback – in Spider 20 he hits too hard and spiderlings die before the full benefit of AOE HP burn is realised. If you plan on using him for Spider you will need less crit rate, dmg and defence.

Ice Golem 20

Ignatius can duo farm Ice Golem 20 with this build. It is preferred to have a champion that can provide enough protection for the waves and the boss. In this case Miscreated Monster is used to make sure it’s safe and fast.
