Raid Shadow Legends: Helicath Champion Guide

Helicath boasts versatile utility in Raid Shadow Legends, emerging as the second champion, following Valkyrie, capable of applying a shield based on the DEF attribute of your build. This unique feature has the potential to generate substantial shields, amplifying the champion’s defensive prowess. Complementing this shielding ability, Helicath introduces a Weaken effect with his A1, a potent debuff tailored for augmenting damage output against Clan Boss or Hydra Clan Boss. Notably, his signature move, “Devoted Servants” (A3), bestows a 2-turn Block Damage buff upon all allies, a privilege previously exclusive to Roschard the Tower before Helicath’s arrival. Should this protective barrier be dispelled, Helicath promptly gains a 2-turn Increase DEF buff. Noteworthy is Helicath’s capacity to bolster his own DEF for each Block Damage buff present on your team, coupled with a counter-attack mechanism triggered whenever a champion under the block damage buff is assailed.

A crucial aspect of unlocking Helicath’s full potential lies in investing in his A3 through skill books. While ideal to fully book his A2, leaving the Cooldown unbooked offers increased flexibility in build options. However, should his A2 be fully booked, it is not a catastrophic setback.

The array of possibilities with Helicath includes employing him as a formidable shield provider in a Killable Clan Boss speed tune (effective until turn 50) or as an Unkillable option. In the Arena, Helicath’s presence compels opponents to bring double buff removal or a block buffs strategy (mindful of potential counters to his A3 passive, such as Ramantu). Alternatively, utilizing a Protection set enhances his disruptive potential with counter attacks. Helicath’s effectiveness extends to Hydra Teams, mitigating incoming damage, though caution is advised against the mischief of certain adversaries.

Helicath Unkillable Clan Boss Build Guide

Helicath is considered a strong and useful Legendary champion that was available as a fusion in June 2022. There are a number of Unkillable compositions with him capable of downing UNM clan boss, he can solo Bommal Hard 90 and be an asset in almost any type of content in Raid if tailored correctly. We will be covering most of the usecases here.

Helicath A1 places Weaken debuff and this can be useful on CB. It also ignores Shield and Block Damage Buffs making him a viable DPS champion against some Arena teams. A2 places a Shield buff on all allies proportional to his DEF and he scales with this stat. Helicath places a Block Damage buff on all allies for 2 turns on A3 and wherever this buff is removed, stolen or expires on an ally it’s replaced by Increase DEF. Finally, his Passive allows him to Counterattack every time and ally under Block Debuffs gets hit.

Masteries

For an optimal build on the Clan Boss, we need the Warmaster T6 in the Offence tree and the second branch can be Defense with Deterrence to counterattack the boss when he places a Stun on an ally, or the Support branch. The second option allows you to pick some Accuracy masteries and pick Sniper and Master Hexer to increase the probability and duration of the Weaken debuff on his A1.

Be careful of Lore of Steel and any other Turn Meter increasing masteries to make sure it does not mess up your Speed tune on CB. Check with the CB calculator if you’re having trouble.

Gear & Stats

Since we will be looking at Helicath in the Unkillable team your first order of business is to select which composition you will be in. Once you have done that, reaching the required Speed setting is the next priority. After those conditions are fulfilled, his gear should be aimed at increasing his damage.

Savage or Lethal sets are a luxury choice, but you can take any other sets like Perception, Resilience or Speed. The only condition is that sets and accessories do not manipulate the Turn Meter or skills cooldown reduction. The main stats are as follows:

  • Gloves – Crit Damage or Crit Rate if you can’t reach 100% Crit Rate with Crit Damage Gloves.
  • Chest – DEF%.
  • Boots – Speed.
  • Ring – DEF
  • Amulet – Crit Damage.
  • Banner – Accuracy/DEF.

Team Composition & Strategy

Helicath makes it possible to assemble an unkillable team and Slow Hellcat Unkillabe is featured here. If you have the right champions and good gear it is possible to 1 key on UNM Clan Boss. However, this build will focus on the budget version that can 2 key UNM. Here is an example of most budgetary team:

  • Helicath with 247 speed (246 – 248 range) in 2 Crit Damage sets plus Perception set.
  • Doompriest with 188 speed (186 – 188 range) for cleansing debuffs from 2 AOE and Stun.
  • Occult Brawler with 178 speed (175 – 178 range) for Poisons.
  • Suwai Firstborn with 177 speed (175 – 179 range) for Decrease DEF and Weaken debuffs.
  • Skullcrusher with 174 speed (173 – 177 range) is the stun target with Unkillable buff but you can use any other campion for different affinities.

Doompriest can be replaced by any champion with the Block Debuffs buff on a three turn cooldown, but must be replaced by a champion position with a speed of 173-177.

Bommal Hard 90 Build Guide

Helicath is considered a strong and useful Legendary champion that was available as a fusion in June 2022. He can be an asset in almost any type of content in Raid if tailored correctly.

the only major problem for Helicath is that you can’t just use one build on him everywhere and he may demand different masteries and stats for different content. Another area apart from CB for Helicath is Bommal during the Dark Fae rotation 3 in Doom Tower. It is a boss that is notorious as someone that can stop the progression in it’s track if you don’t have the tools to deal with him.

Helicath is one of the few champions in the game that can solo Bommal Hard 90 on auto and this is the build we will be considering on this page. Note that unfortunately it’s not a full auto run as you have to manual the first three turns when you get to the boss itself. It runs on auto otherwise.

Masteries

You can use the same masteries as on the clan boss, namely the Warmaster T6 in the Offence tree. For the second branch Defense can be picked if you use this branch on Clan Boss. Alternatively, Support branch allows you to pick some Accuracy masteries and pick Sniper and Master Hexer to increase the probability of placing Weaken debuff on his A1 and its duration.

Gear & Stats Build

To run the hardest Bommal on Hard 90 we can use only the Regeneration and Immortal sets, making you choose between the builds where you prefer to use Helicath. The first option for auto requires around 100k HP, DEF does not matter, Speed in the range of 238-250 for Bommal Hard 90 lvl.

The first option for auto requires around 100k HP, DEF does not matter, Speed in the range of 238-250 for Bommal Hard 90 lvl. Helicath benefits from as low Accuracy as possible in this build. It is best not to place any debuffs on Bommal for him as this can result in Bommal placing Bombs on him that wipe Helicath while Block Damage is on Cooldown.

Recommended Main Stats

Strategy & Tactics

Block Damage buff is one of the popular ways to overcome Bommal. Placing it on the champion before the explosion of bombs, as well as the use of a Shield buff when the Bomal puts bombs on you allows to live through the fight and live to tell the tale. There are two strategies that are based on your gear you have chosen.

Strategy One

The first option with 100k HP allows you to fight the Boss on auto. In the team presets you should prohibit Helicath A2 on Boss wave as you need only Block Damage buff to avoid Bombs damage. You rely only on regeneration from the set to heal after boss hits and places Bomb debuffs on your champion. Also you shoud set AI up on wave 2 for Helicath not to use his A3.

Strategy Two

The Second option is manual. Block Damage buff to avoid the damage from Bombs is still the core. However, when Bommal places the Bomb debuff on Helicath, you use A2 for the Shied to absorb the damage. You still take damage from Boss hits when Block Damage and Shied buffs are on Cooldown so it is important to use Regeneration and Immortal sets to refill the missing HP.

Overall Helicath is a reliable enough with around 75% winrate on auto. You can use an extra champion to clear the waves faster and to speed up the runs, usually a DPS. At the same time you need to make sure Helicath kills a few champions on the way to the boss to enable his masteries that grant more Speed on kill if you’re using this strategy.

Borgoth, The Scarab King Build Guide

If you do not have great options for Scarab such as Urost, Helicath can solo him as well! He can do so on any difficulty and level on auto. In this build, we will showcase the most difficult of all Scarabs, namely the Scarab King on the 100th floor of the Doom Tower the Dark Fae rotation.

Masteries

Due to how the boss mechanics work our physical attacks will not cause significant damage to Scarab. Masteries are better focused on survivability, since the boss requires high values of Resistance, HP, DEF and Speed from Helicath. The Defense branch and masteries Delay Death and UnShakeable T6 will help us. Support branch with Spirit Haste and Master Hexer to increase our Speed after the death of our allied champions and increasing the debuffs durations will come in handy as well.

helicatch masteries for The Scarab King

Gear & Stats Build

Damaging Scarab King through his shield without Decrease MAX HP strategy are through placing Poisons. For Helicath this requires the Toxic set and it was the main reason for picking the Master Hexer mastery. Immortal set to be able to restore our HP as a secondary one also helps.

It is important that you have more than 450 Resistance so Scarab King doesn’t remove or steal the Block Damage or Shield buffs. Around 45k HP with 4.8k DEF are sufficient. Alternatively 57k HP with 4.2k DEF are an option. Speed needs to be over 251. In this showcase the required speed is achieved with the Spirit Haste mastery that increases it for every dead ally up to 24 in total.

Recommended Main Stats

  • Gloves – HP%/DEF%;
  • Chest – Resistance;
  • Boots – Speed;
  • Ring – HP/DEF;
  • Amulet – HP/DEF.
  • Banner – Resistance.

Revenge Accessories will help us kill Boss faster and Refresh Accessories will help recharge the skills we need for survival. Use them if you have them.

Team Composition & Strategy

Block Damage and Shield buffs used one after another help Helicath out here as well preventing the boss from inflicting critical damage. While this is not the recommended usage of this champion due to how many alternatives are available that can make Scarab completion possible, it’s still an option. The team composition and roles are as follows:

  1. Seer for dps on waves.
  2. Renegade for +40 Resistance from aura and decreasing the cooldown of allies skills.
  3. High Khatun for SPD buff to Seer.
  4. Ghostborn for Decrease DEF debuff and Increase ATK buff to Seer.
  5. Helicath for killing the boss.

For optimal results you can set up AI not to use Helicath A2 and A3 on waves 2 so he is ready for everything on the boss.
