Raid Shadow Legends: Fenax Champion Guide

Fenax is an epic spirit affinity champion from the sacred order faction in Raid Shadow Legends. This champion is known for two things, his A1 block revive (which does not require accuracy to activate) and his ability to deal high levels of damage on opponents. This is great for areas of the game such as ice golem, whereby Fenax can be used to ensure quick kills and help to keep the two adds stay dead. Although, there are additional applications such as the arena where these factors prove themselves highly useful. His A2 also has a strong AOE ability that comes with it, which can be powered up with the addition of Tallia in your teams setup.

Fenax Late Game+ Guide

Fenax is an Attack based Spirit Epic from the Sacred Order faction. Despite being a strong damage dealer, he is not well respected by newer players due to the team composition and gear requirements and has only started getting more attention from content creators recently. This guide will feature Fenax in Arena, FW and Dungeons progression.

Skills

Fenax main ability is his A1, a hard hitting skill with Block Revive property. It double hits when the enemy is under debuffs which is usually the case when you run a Decrease Defense to set Fenax up. This skill is incredibly strong, and having it on an A1 (meaning no cooldown is involved) makes him a viable option when you need this skill for content. His other skill have additional utility so some additional accuracy when possible is also advisable. His A2 has a chance to put either a Block Active Skill or a Block Buffs debuffs and his A3 has a chance to put Decrease Defense and Decrease Speed debuffs. Fenax has the potential to set himself up for his additional hits on A1.

Masteries

His masteries are standard for most damage dealer in Late Game+. Offense tree with Crit Rate, Crit Damage for more dps into Helmsmasher T6. If you cannot reach 220% crit damage before picking T6, Flawless Execution is usually the preferred alternative. Support tree was selected as secondary tree to get more Accuracy when possible and Lore of Steel to boost Speed, Accuracy and Attack from the sets.

You can also opt in for Defense tree for more damage mitigation. The secondary tree does not make a huge difference for Fenax, but the gear and stats do.

Gear & Stats Build

As a damage dealer, Fenax should ideally be in Cruel and/or Savage set to get the most dps. Relentless or Immunity are also viable option depending on the build. Otherwise, Speed is generally a very good option. Perception and Accuracy can be good if you want to give him some Accuracy for his debuffs.

When building a nuker, you should aim for at least 100% Crit Rate, 200+% Crit Damage and 4-5k Attack for Late Game+. Speed should then be at 170+. When going for extra utility, 220+ Accuracy is advisable for dungeons and Faction Wars.

Recommended Main Stats

  • Glove: Crit Damage
  • Chest: Atk%
  • Boots: Speed
  • Ring: Atk
  • Amulet: Crit Damage
  • Banner: Accuracy/Atk

As for the accessories, if you want him to use A1 as much as possible, Refresh accessories should be avoided. All other special accessories can be good for him.

Fenax in the Arena

Fenax main weakness is his affinity. Being Spirit makes him weak against most popular champions in arena, especially nukers like Trunda and Foli. However, that also means he works as an alternative to your usual nuker when they are weak affinity, for example against Force heavy teams and champions like Candraphone and Rector.

He also finds his uses against teams with many Revive on Death champions (e.g Tormin, Cruetraxa, Brakus) or teams with many revivers and tanks. Building him with Accuracy also gives you a chance to lock their reviver out with his AoE. Here we used team against teams in Gold IV with multiple revivers (Duchess, Aniri, Rector Drath) and Brakus, who usually can come back to take out one of your champions, but Fenax had stopped him from doing so.

Team Build

The team showcased is a standard speed team with :

  1. Arbiter for Attack boost and TM boost
  2. Deacon for TM boost and Defense down
  3. Visix for Provoke
  4. Fenax for damage

Fenax Late Game+ Dungeons Runs

Ice Golem 20

Ice Golem is certainly the dungeon where Fenax brings the most utility in. He serves as a damage dealer against waves, his Block Buffs and Block Active Skills are useful against the Terrorbeasts on the second wave to prevent them from putting up their Reflect Damage and his Block Revive is very handy on the boss stage to prevent the Golem from reviving his adds.

Team Build

The team composition relies on control and survival in this showcase.

  1. Deacon: TM control, CC with Stun set, Decrease Defense
  2. Visix: CC with Provoke and Stun set, Ally Protection
  3. Fenax: Damage, Block Buffs, Block Active Skill, Block Revive
  4. Coldheart : Damage, MAX HP nuke
  5. Reliquary Tender: Cleanse, Heal and Revive

Fire Knight 20

Fenax can also serve as damage dealer for the Fire Knight Castle where your usual magic champions are not reliable enough. His Defense down and Speed down can also come in handy against the Fire Knight himself. His two hit A1 is conditional however, so you shouldn’t count on it too much during the boss stage.

Team Build

The team showcased here consists of :

  1. Apothecary: Healing, Defense aura, TM and Speed boost. three hit A1
  2. Visix: CC, Ally Protection and TM control
  3. Fenax: Damage, back up Decrease Defense and Decrease Speed
  4. Stag Knight: Decrease Defense, Decrease Attack, Decrease Speed
  5. Coldheart: Damage, TM depletion, MAX HP nuke

Dragon 25

While Dragon 20 was a bad fit for Fenax compositions because of his Spirit affinity, Dragon 25 is a positive affinity so Fenax can also serve as your damage dealer if you ever need one there.

Team Build

The goal is to bring Occult Brawler to the Dragon as poisons are still your most reliable source of damage against this boss. To successfully carry the Occult Brawler to the boss, we have:

  1. Deacon: Speed aura, Decrease Defense, TM control, CC with Stun set
  2. Visix: CC with Stun set, Ally Protection
  3. Apothecary: Healing, TM and Speed boost
  4. Fenax: Damage on the waves
  5. Occult Brawler: Poisons for the boss

Fire Knight 25

TM control is still relevant against the Fire Knight for stages 20+ and Fenax has access to Decrease Speed debuff that helps tremendously against the boss. He can also serve as a damage dealer against the waves.

Team Build

The team consists of:

  1. Deacon: Speed aura, Decrease Defense, TM control and CC with Stun set
  2. Visix: CC, TM control, Ally Protection, Decrease Speed
  3. Fenax: Wave clear, backup Decrease Speed and Decrease Defense
  4. Alure: TM control
  5. Coldheart: Wave clear, TM depletion, MAX HP nuke, four hit A1

Faction Wars

Fenax is naturally a solid dps option for Sacred Order Faction Wars. Stage 21 boss has a revive ability, and the Rowan like add ignores defense on its attacks. If you are not controlling it fast enough, the run can very easily end in a defeat. Fenax having a Block Revive makes things much easier as the boss will not be able to revive her allies.

Team Build

The roles are as follow :

  1. Deacon: Speed aura, Decrease Defense, TM control, CC with Stun set
  2. Armiger: TM control, MAX HP nuke
  3. Fenax: Wave clear, Block Revive, Decrease Speed against boss
  4. Aothar: Poison damage
  5. Cardinal: Revive for the 3 stars clear
