Raid Shadow Legends: Crypt Witch Champion Guide

Crypt Witch is an epic magic affinity champion from the knights revenant faction in Raid Shadow Legends. She is a strong attack based champion capable of dealing high volumes of damage to her opponents. This makes her great as a single target nuker in the Arena and a great addition to faction wars teams. Both of these content types will be covered in detail in this champion guide. Accompanied with information on clan boss and dungeon raids, plus a guide on how to build Crypt Witch for end game content.

Crypt Witch End Game Build Guide

Crypt Witch is an old champion that has not found much use in the game for most players. Recently, the developers rebalanced this champion and he definitely became stronger, but in general, this did not darken the situation much.

Skills

Her A1 hasn’t changed, it’s still a 1-target hit with good damage. Her A2 now attacks 3 targets instead of 2 and places Decrease DEF debuff on them. Her A3 is a 1-target attack, but conditions have been changed. She now ignores 50% of the target’s Defense if faster than this enemy. Crypt Witch also boasts a speed boost aura that can come in handy in Faction Wars.

It is worth noting that the PvP potential of Crypt Witch is low enough to abandon the idea of taking her to the Arena due to the lack of AOE attacks, useful skills and, in general, an unsuitable meta for single-target champions. Therefore, we will consider the PvE version of the champion build.

Masteries

For best results on CB and onter PVE content Warmaster T6 mastery is the number one choice. Single Out from the Offense branch and other damage increasing masteries are a good choice. For the second branch it is better to take Support with the Master Hexer, to extend the duration of Decrease DEF debuff. Lore of Steel grants some additional stats form sets and Cycle of Magic gives a small chance to decrease skills cooldown for increased dps.

As usual for Unkillable compositions no TM increasing masteries can be selected in order not to break the speed tune.

Gear & Stats Build

The team for the boss will be a budget unkillable composition with Helicath. Using this type of team allows you to use more budget speeds on champions, but at the same time imposes restrictions on the use of some sets. Sets that manipulate the Turn Meter or get an extra turn are prohibited, otherwise the choice is unlimited.

Savage or Lethal sets are a luxury choice, but you can use any other sets like Perception, Cruel or Speed. In this case Savage and Cruel sets were utilised with ATK% boots to maximize damage.

Recommended Main Stats

  • Gloves – Crit Damage or Crit Rate if you can’t reach 100% Crit Rate with Crit Damage Gloves.
  • Chest – ATK%.
  • Boots – Speed/ATK%.
  • Ring – ATK.
  • Amulet – Crit Damage.
  • Banner – Accuracy/ATK.

Refresh and Revenge Accessories can be used for additional dps.

Clan Boss Strategy & Team

Unkillable team for Clan Boss with the Helicath, it is quite budgetary in terms of speed, however, we use a faster version of this team because we want to implement Crypt Witch A3 skill, which will ignore 50% of the target’s defense if the champion is faster than the boss, which will definitely increase the final damage and not worth giving up on it. Although this is not very critical, because its main purpose is a defense reduction debuff.

If you have the right meta champions and good gear it is possible to 1 key on UNM Clan Boss. However, this build will focus on the budget version and will use not the best champions that can easy 2 key UNM. But there is also a significant plus, this is an affinity friendly team. Here is an example of team:

  1. Helicath with 244 speed for Block Damage Buff and Weaken dubuff.
  2. Underpriest Brogni with 191 speed for Block Debuff buff.
  3. Crypt Witch with 194 speed for Decrease DEF debuff and dps.
  4. Urticata with 196 speed for Poisons and dps.
  5. Skullcrusher with 246 speed, is the stun target with Unkillable buff but you can use any other campion for different affinities (It is worth noting that at this speed, he must definitely receive a Stun from the boss in order for his skill to work in the correct cycle).

Dungeon Runs

Dragon 20

In Dragon’s Lair Crypt Witch can be used as a damage dealer on the waves. She does not have an AOE Decrease DEF or some useful skills in the fight against the boss, but she can deal good single target damage.

Most likely, this is not enough to guarantee her a place in the team. Even when attacking 3 targets, unfortunately she cannot replace a champion with AoE Decrease DEF debuff, besides, she is an attack champion and has low base HP and DEF stats, which forces us to use strong support champions, including revivers. Nevertheless, here is an example of clearing Dragon 20:

  1. Tayrel for AOE Decrease DEF + Decrease АТК debuffs.
  2. Apothecary for SPD buff and healing.
  3. Crypt Witch for dps.
  4. Broadmaw for revive an useful buffs.
  5. Occult Brawler to quickly kill the Dragon with Poisons.

Ice Golem 20

Another dungeon where Crypt Witch can be used is Ice Golem’s Peak. She will also act as a damage dealer on the waves, and on the boss itself she will help to quickly deal with the boss’s minions, who could be quite unpleasant. However, is this enough to justify using her on the team? This an example of crearing Ice Golem 20:

  1. Stag Knight for AOE Decrease DEF + АТК debuffs.
  2. Apothecary for SPD buff and healing.
  3. Crypt Witch for dps.
  4. Broadmaw for revive an useful buffs.
  5. Occult Brawler to quickly kill the Golem with Poisons.

Fire Knight 20

Fire Knight’s Castle is the place where you shouldn’t take Crypt Witch. She has magic affinity, and the 20th floor is the force affinity, which will reduce damage against the enemy plus weak hits. In addition, Crypt Witch will be a priority target, and due to low HP and DEF, she will almost always rest on the ground. The only plus will be 3 hits on A2, which will help lower the boss’s shield faster. And although in general it is possible to clear lvl 20, but it is quite difficult and there are much better options.

Here is an example of a team for level 20 just for demonstration:

  1. Stag Knight for AOE Decrease DEF + АТК plus Decrease SPD debuffs.
  2. Apothecary for SPD buff and healing.
  3. Crypt Witch for dps.
  4. Broadmaw for revive an useful buffs.
  5. Armiger to decrease the turn meter and quickly kill the Boss with MAX HP skill.

Arena Strategy & Team

The Arena is definitely a place where the Crypt Witch can work as a DPS. Her A1 is single target and ignores the Shield and Block Damage buffs while increasing damage by 30% if there are buffs on the target. Her A3 will ignore 50% of the target’s defense if enemy slower than Crypt Witch. To make Crypt Witch more suitable for an arena dps, her masteries were changed to Helmsmasher T6 masterie to increase damage in this showcase.

It is worth noting that it makes little sense to use it in standard speed teams, due to the lack of AOE and additional turns, it cannot kill several opponents. Our potential opponents are slow teams that have Shield or Damage Block buffs. The team creates conditions for Crypt Witch to show her best side:

  1. Duchess Lilitu for revive and useful buffs.
  2. Cardiel for cleanse and useful buffs plus important its his team up with all allies to attack a target enemy.
  3. Crypt Witch for dps.
  4. Cruetraxa for dps. This is a very similar champion like Crypt Witch. It was added for comparison and clarity, let’s see it in action.

As you can see, she can show good damage against Gold 5 teams even against the background of the legendary champion, in some fights she shows herself much better. However, more serious opponents, including meta champions are invincible to her due to Crypt Witch low multipliers, base stats and, as a result, total damage. Strong opponents were defeated exclusively thanks to the strongest supports. But at the same time, all the fights are long and not easy. You can draw your own conclusions, but I do not consider it appropriate to use it in the arena.

Faction Wars Strategy & Team

One of the few places where Crypt Witch can show herself best is in Faction Wars, where her Increase SPD aura helps the whole team, and the Decrease DEF debuff will help quickly kill the boss before he uses the health exchange ability. Here is an example of a budget level 21 clear without legendaries on full auto with 3 stars:

  1. Crypt Witch for dps.
  2. Rector Drath for healing and revive.
  3. Miscreated Monster for Stun debuff and useful buffs.
  4. Golden Reaper for Increase SPD buff and AOE Decrease ATK debuff.
  5. Doompriest for healing and clearing debuffs.
