Raid Shadow Legends: Akoth the Seared Champion Guide

Akoth is an epic magic affinity champion from the demonspawn faction in Raid Shadow Legends. He is a good champion to have in your arsenal and is strong in a number of different areas. Dungeon raids are great for Akoth, with the exception of Fire Knight where he does not perform so well. This guide will cover team compositions and advice for Dragon, Ice Golem and Spider late game runs. He is also strong in faction wars and the doom tower, which we will also cover in more depth during this Akoth champion guide.

Akoth End Game Guide

Akoth is a guaranteed champions you can get by progressing far enough in Doom Tower Secret rooms on normal difficulty and he has multiple use cases thanks to AOE HP Burn he provides. Because of Akoth’s Skill kit and how he works, this guide will be showcasing him below his potential compared to a maxed version. He is capable of doing all the Dungeons at stage 25 except Fire Knight.

Skills

Books can be a decent improvement for Akoth, however he shouldn’t be the first priority. If you do want to book him though, the main 2 skills you will want booked are his Passive and his A3. The main reason for this is just more reliability on the A3 with the cooldown reduction and he works as a pseudo Warlord so you need the increase chance. Additionally, Fear is always a good Debuff to have on the enemies.

Masteries

For the Masteries we take the Support and Defense trees.

The selection of the support tree is mainly due to Accuracy. Although getting Accuracy for 25 Dungeons isn’t hard at this stage of the game, Akoth benefits from Accuracy the most, so it makes him even less gear intensive. Additionally, you need to get as much Accuracy as you can if you intend to use him for Frost Spider in Doom Tower.

Defense tree isn’t strictly required, you could opt in for Warmaster/Offense trees instead if you want, we mainly just take Defense to reduce incoming damage more than anything.

Gear & Stats Build

Akoth is able to do his job with minimal investment. All he needs are enough Accuracy and Speed. Beyond that, just make him tanky and use mechanics that allow him to regenerate health or heal. He isn’t a damage dealer, so focus on HP and Defense.

You don’t really need anything else for him, as mentioned, he isn’t a damage dealer so we don’t need to worry about Crit Rate/Damage/Attack and for the most part Resistance isn’t required for dungeons.

Recommended Main Stats

  • Gloves: HP%/Def%
  • Chest: Accuracy/ HP%
  • Boots: Speed
  • Ring: HP/Def
  • Amulet: HP/Def
  • Banner: Accuracy

Recommended Sets

  • Regeneration (best set, but not budget)
  • Perception / Speed
  • Reflex
  • Immortal (or other sets to help make him tanky)

Recommended Stats

  • 200+ Speed
  • 250+ Accuracy

Remember to focus on the stats more than on the set bonuses and not to try and force the sets.

Dungeon Runs

Spider 25

Typically Akoth isn’t a Speed run Champion for late game. He isn’t like Seer, but he is a free to get AoE HP burn champ with a 100% chance to land. Coupled with Crowd Control abilities means he’s basically a Free version of Mordecai. So his biggest drawback is that he’s a Demonspawn, because that Faction is already packed with amazing Champions with HP burn and this means that he has less value for Faction Wars if you have them.

Team Build

  1. Sicia – She explodes the HP burns that Akoth places, which is basically the staple DPS for Spider 21-25.
  2. Coldheart – Only here to deplete the bosses Turn Meter.
  3. Kymar – Resets Sicia’s HP burn explosion, so she can do it a 2nd time.
  4. Crypt-King – He is here for HP burn extension, increasing the duration it lasts so Sicia can go again.

Ice Golem 25

For Ice Golem, Akoth has 2 main roles, the first is damage. AoE HP burns do quite a bit of damage on their own, so for this reason we use him as a damage dealer with the HP burns but we don’t rely on it solely as his 2nd role is actually more useful for progression.

When progressing the Crowd Control helps greatly. Akoth brings a pretty consistent Fear debuff to the enemies on the waves, but he also works amazingly well with another Epic – Achak. Achak’s Passive makes it so enemies under HP burn, when they take their turn, heal all allies, this basically turns Akoth into a healer, as well as giving Fear and doing damage. Achak isn’t needed, Scyl can typically cover your healing needs, but it’s good synergy between the two.

Team Build

  1. Reliquary Tender – Provides a Revive + Cleanse + Healing all of which are amazing vs the boss, also, the smaller version of Decrease Attack is very good for the boss.
  2. Tomb Lord – Generic damage dealer, you can use pretty much anyone you have, he was just used due to having AoE poisons and being available to everyone in the Token Trader (if you choose to go that way).
  3. Scyl – Same as Reliquary Tender, however, she brings Stuns for the waves which is more Crowd Control, as opposed to the Cleanse.
  4. Achak – The synergy between her and Akoth was mentioned above, however, as a Champion, she brings Freeze which is amazing for the waves, it’s more Crowd Control.

Dragon 25

For Dragon the run is basically identical to Ice Golem, and the team is the same. There’s really no difference in anything, it’s just heavy Crowd Control team using a mixture of Poisons from Tomb Lord and HP burns from Akoth to deal our damage.

The only thing to note is that Akoth is negative Affinity for Dragon 25. This doesn’t mean he has no use, but it does hurt him a lot for Dragon. He is still an important part of the team, just be aware that you can’t rely on his HP burn damage and the Fears as much as in Ice Golem.

Team Build

  1. Reliquary Tender – Provides a Revive + Cleanse + Healing all of which are amazing vs the boss, also, the smaller version of Decrease Attack is very good for the boss.

Faction Wars

For Faction Wars 21, this stage is largely about dealing with the 2nd wave which is Valkyries. However, unlike another Faction like Knights Revenant, Demonspawn have a lot of options to make this much smoother.

Magnarr has some good synergy here with Akoth, although typically Magnarr is used to double hit as a nuker, similar to Trunda. Having a decent chance at placing a Stun, as well as doing decent damage still makes the 2nd wave much easier. Alongside this we run Umbral Enchantress to lock down the Valkyries. Two Alure champions are here for the boss to make sure she doesn’t get a turn.

Demonspawn is a relatively easy Faction to complete, and Akoth can be the centre of your damage, you will just need to keep in mind he won’t hit hard on the boss with Alures, since the boss won’t take turns, and hence HP Burn won’t trigger and deal damage.

Team Build

  1. Magnarr – Our main damage source on the boss + makes the run much quicker in general, however he also provides a Stun for the Valkyrie wave.
  2. Umbral Enchantress – Both the Provoke and Block Buffs part of her kit are amazing for the 2nd wave.
  3. Alure – Mainly here to stop the boss taking a turn, especially since we aren’t using a healer or much healing at all. Having the Decrease Defense also means the Valkyries hit for a lot less.

Doom Tower

Although it has been mentioned at the start that Akoth doesn’t need to be 6* or maxed out or booked, If you plan to use him in DT it is strongly recommended to max him out. The reason for this are the additional stats that make him much tankier and you will want an Accuracy Banner as well.

To compensate for the Accuracy, in this showcase an Increase Accuracy champ was used, Lady Kimi. Due to the the lack of stats, both Defense and Health, 2 revivers and 2 healers were used because we expect Akoth to be going down, and taking a lot of damage.

It’s important to remember that 120 Hard Doom Tower, is some of the hardest content in the game so if you want to keep him at 5* you will need to compensate for the above weaknesses.

Team Build

  1. Lady Kimi – Her main goal for this team is Increase Accuracy to ensure Akoth lands his HP burns.
  2. Doompriest – The boss has nasty debuffs, so having a cleanser and healer for this is amazing, you can also use someone like Reliquary Tender instead for a more budget option.
  3. Ursala – We are using her mainly as a reviver, however, because Akoth is 50, the Strengthen and Increased Defense Buffs are an amazing quality of life feature and highly recommended.
  4. Scyl – Provides a mixture of revive and healing, we aren’t worried too much about her landing her A1 or A2 Debuffs.
